NuSal — Restaurant in Barcelos

Where to start! First, the owner was very VISIBLY bothered by our arrival as we were not dressed up (doing the camino so didn't bring my best dress and heels) and didn't want us to sit with all the rest of the guests/customers so we were 'forced' to sit alone in an empty area without heating when there was plenty of space in the main section. The waitress was actually nice but the owner and chef were very unfriendly and rude; and beyond ignored us the whole time (except when it was pay time). The food (we ordered salmon) was not good at all, heavily fried and tasteless, side salad was extremely poor (a few green leaves and ONE CHERRY TOMATO) and 4 tiny baked potatoes which were dry. When the bill came, it included the sad bits we got before the meal (a tiny basket of breaf and a small portion of taponade and some olives) which we didn't order ... Needless to say, a terrible experience. If you can go elsewhere......

To avoid. We visited this place while doing the camino de santiago and we really felt unwelcome. The waitress was very nice and friendly but the lady who seemed to be the owner clearly did not want us there but she did want our money...

Mediocre food, bad vibe and really not friendly owner....

Mau atendimento num local que seria no mínimo promissor, pela imagem! Aguardamos, 4 pessoas, pelo mesmo pedido (arroz com gambas e camarão tigre), cerca de 1h30. Perguntei à empregada, que não me soube responder o porquê da demora, mas que depois me foi explicada por uma senhora, que será a responsável?!, que o motivo era a frescura do prato e a possível demora estava mencionada no menu. Mesmo assim nada justifica a lentidão! Aquando do serviço verificamos que o prato não vinha conforme o descrito e o que nos foi explicado foi que o que estava servido era mais caro e eram camarões gambas?! Mas tal não existe! Saio completamente desagrado pelo serviço prestado, pela falta de humildade em admitir os erros e pela preferência na prestação do serviço. Quando vamos a um espaço agradável, que oferece um menu com preços médios/elevados esperamos no mínimo um serviço...
