We are new to Parede and came for lunch. We were seated inside at a nice table and were served immediately. Since we do not speak Portuguese, we couldn't read the menu. No big deal, we were given menus in English. I ordered the grilled sea bass and the wife had salmon. We ordered house white wine, which was very good. There was a nice bread basket with oil and I think basalmic. The food was served and it was presented beautifully. The entrées came with veges and potatoes. Everything was hot and perfectly done. Great place for beef steak and seafood. 2 of us had beef, I had squid and 1 of us had the salmon. Overall, the food was well prepared, served with wonderful detail and by the most charming server. By and large, one of our best dining experiences in Portugal. Great price point... 4 meals, 1 bottle of wine and a beer... 84 euros (no appetizers no desert). Note the bottle of wine in the image, delightful little number; fruity with a hint of wild honey. Side note: daughter said the salmon was the best she ever had, was juicy and delicious... not fishy, cooked to perfection, wonderful flakyness. Loved it. 😍

This restaurant is close to the centre of Parede and has a good selection of Portugese dishes. California was full with locals out for their dinner and we could see why. The decor was decent and the restaurant had a homely feel to it. The waiters were good but they did struggle as we did not know portugese, this may be a factor for tourists visiting. They had no vegan or veggie options but were able to make me a huge portion of vegetable curry. It was rich and delicious, I really appreciated the effort they made to accommodate me 😊 Everyone's food was to a high standard and we all enjoyed our meal.
