Taverna D's Pereiras — Restaurant in Cascais

A truly satiating and enjoyable experience!

From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and attentive. We were offered a menu but the waiter offered us a ‘tour of the menu’ as he much preferred to talk us through the options rather than interpret the menu ourselves. He took us to the chiller and showed us the variety of options and explained their origins and how the food would be prepared. His recommendations based on the group versus portion sizes meant we all had opportunity to try an array of dishes.

The waiter told us the portions weren’t small and he wasn’t mistaken! Normally I would pay a good amount for a single fillet mignon, this dish had four of them, all cooked to perfection!!! The staff were keen for us to enjoy a good meal and experience a true taste of Portugal.

The restaurant is small but quaint and has a real homely atmosphere. I felt this was a large family meal rather than being a customer at a restaurant!

This was evenings meal made my stomach full, my wallet surprised (averaging €25 for so much food was a shock) and most of all it made my heart happy.

Well done to the Taverna D’s Pereiras team, an exceptional experience that I will be returning soon to...

The location is near to where we lived. Restaurant always full during lunch and dinner time.

Waiters are so welcome, polite, nice and very attentive to our needs. Wr had seafood stew and steak..the portion is so big and we can shared it to others. The food is so good and delicious with fresh fish and shrimp. Steak also very tasty with mushroom sauce and potatoes as side dish. The dessert is so yummy and not so sweet just perfect taste for us.

From the moment we walked into Taverna D’s Pereiras, we felt right at home! The staff welcomed us with warmth and hospitality, and the waiter was amazing—he walked us through the menu, explained everything behind the counter, and even gave us great recommendations.

The food? Delicious. And the freshly made maçã assada? Absolute perfection!

They truly made us feel like part of the family and gave us a real taste of Portugal. We left with full stomachs and big smiles—can’t wait...
