The Sinnerman Speakeasy — Restaurant in Cascais

Let me tell you the story of a world class cocktail bar tucked away underneath an apartment building in a quiet part of Estoril.

Though Sinnerman shows up on Google it's not easy to find. Reservations are required but being a dumb tourist we showed up one night, rang the doorbell and we were welcomed to one of the most incredible hospitality experiences we've ever had.

Everything about Sinnerman is impressive. The decor is awe inspiring. The scale of the venue is massive. Every minute detail is spectacular. The renovated bar is truly a work of art.

There's a million things I can say about Sinnerman and why this place is going to be world renowned but there are two that stick out: the service and the product.

We were welcomed as more than guests. The treatment was beyond 5 star. Meeting Bruno, Fransisco and the team was the best part of my whole vacation. Everyone here is charismatic, engaging, warm and knowledgeable. This is an elite team that has been assembled. Being there for soft open may have helped because we had constant attention but I'm still feeling elated from the experience. They named cocktails after us, shared so many interesting stories and even whipped up a bacalhau salad just for me after I said how much I love it.

Secondly, the product. Wow, wow, wow. I mentioned they are world class and I meant. The cocktails are some of the best I've ever had. They have every single ingredient you can imagine and they can make any drink you can fathom. We started with two from the menu (amazing), our second round was more "standard" (old fashioned and white negroni) and finished with totally custom creations (ask for the "Daniel's Jungle Bird" - it will blow you away). To give more context, the busted out a pan and mini stove to flambee pineapple for the Jungle Bird.

I'm actually honoured I get to be the first Google review. This place deserves so much success and if you miss out on this experience while visiting, I feel bad for you.

This place has gone to great lengths to capture the true speakeasy vibe, while keeping things neat and attractive. The staff are excellent, and dressed appropriately for the time period, and mix some great cocktails. The music is fun, with the volume at a very reasonable level, and you can dance wherever you like because there is space everywhere. They have some old timey movies playing on a small screen at the back of the club, but it's not obtrusive at all. Very cool, actually. The whole experience was excellent, and I highly suggest a stop here if you're in to that...

What a great find whilst on holiday!

Such an incredible venue. Great vibe and good value for money. Staff go above and beyond and are very talented at what they do. Cocktails are like you've never tasted before! If there is something that isn't on the menu that you fancy, no problem they will knock something up for you!

We went in with the intention of stopping for 1 quick drink....a few hours later we were still there enjoying ourselves.

Would recommend this place in a heartbeat and will definetely be returning when I'm next...
