Had eaten here once before and had an excellent meal. Sadly on Friday the experience was the opposite

The staff very polite and friendly. Quite a few items from the meat menu not available. Ordered one of the meals for 2 whilst our friend ordered the grill and a sushi starter.

Our startes arrived but not our friends. We ate ours whilst our friend waited and waited for hers despite asking. Her starter finally arrived followed by our mains then her main. She hadn't finished her starter

The meat on our main dish was barely warm and cold by the time we had finished and to be honest we have had better quality elsewhere for a fraction of the price.

We had a really disappointing visit. The service was poor, and although the tables were set, the tablecloths were not ironed and looked scruffy. The menu had plenty of options. We chose a mixed sushi platter, noodles, and a 'Gladiator Burger'. The food arrived in good time and was well-presented. The burger was extremely tough, and I left the majority of it as it was overcooked and dry. The sushi was tasteless, and ingredients in the noodles were burned (the burnt taste overpowered the prawns and noodles) and was not enjoyable. I've had waygu beef before, served in one of the best restaurants in Brisbane, Australia. I've had prime rib eye waygu I've cooked myself from one of the biggest cattle stations in Australia.

I eagerly looked forward to trying the waygu steaks at Akasushi... and Luis and the staff did not disappoint.

Brilliant service, generous serving sizes,(my photos do not do this justice) and fantastic use of the highest quality meat at a price that, for waygu, was very cheap.
