Coimbra Ó Porto — Restaurant in Coimbra

We were tired after a long day and wanted something simple with just some wine and tapas. We found Sergio's place just a couple blocks from La Quinta das Lagrimas. His place is very simple but we what a great experience! Sergio also does the service and will teach you about Portuguese wines sending you in the right direction. The food was good and Sergio was terrific! He spent time with us and we shared some stories as well as some of the same taste in music. We were able to find out that he has a sister in Porto that has a vegan restaurant (very well reviewed!) - since we were going to Porto, we were looking forward to visiting her restaurant (sadly we were never able to get there). Coimbra O Porto is not fancy - it is perfect for a laid back evening with good food, good wine and good companionship! Definite place to stop again...

Excellent experience! A bit hard to find—it’s on the ground floor behind the Specialized bike shop. The owner was very welcoming and recommended the perfect wine for me. I wish I would have gone earlier in my visit so I could have gone twice! Definitely recommend if you want to learn about...
