First of all the food wasnt prepaired at the same time. One dish arrived cold. At a price of 25€ the dish this shouldnt happen. The glasses and plates were dirty, but the waiter was so occupied, that he didnt even noticed. We changed everything with the stuff from other tables. Lets dont talk about the window glas that separates the inside of the restaurant from the outer part beside the street. The portions were way to big. We left more than half of it for the trash. 8 whole potatoes (size 7-9cm) for one person?! But worst of all was the incapable water who couldnt say a word about their wines, didnt know the difference between white and red, dry and sweet. He didnt mention that a few fish are just for 2 persons, you have to look for yourself and choose. Dont look too close behind the counter at the barbecue, the trashcan looks as if it has never been cleaned in a lifetime. Ignore the stuffed fridge inside the restaurant (stuffed with boxes of I dont know what). And dont drink wine! It tastes like 1,50€ the bottle. Two stars because the fish and the meat...

As a pilgrim I was just passing through town looking for a coffee. It was 11 and I asked if the restaurant was open, they told me no not until 12. They asked if I was just looking for something small like a coffee and I said yes that's what I wanted. They said to come in and sit down. The gentleman brought me coffee and bread, and then we had a lovely conversation for 45 minutes while he prepared to open and I drank my coffee and ate a little snack. This simple act of kindness absolutely made my day. It was nice to talk with somebody who speaks English, it's hard when you spend your whole day and never really get to have conversation because you don't speak Portuguese. I would highly recommend this place just based on the customer service I received! Kindness is contagious and I will...

Salitra Restaurant in Portugal This place completely blew me away. It’s a casual, no-fuss kind of restaurant — the kind where you instantly feel comfortable, like you’ve just found a local favorite. The staff were super friendly and made the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable.

Now for the star of the show: the seafood rice. I’ve had this dish countless times in my life, but this was hands down the best I’ve ever had. The flavors were rich and full, the seafood was super fresh, and the rice was cooked perfectly. It was hearty, comforting, and bursting with flavor in every bite.

If you’re into seafood (or even if you’re not yet), this place is a must-try. Amazing food, great people, and a chill atmosphere — can’t ask for more. I’ll definitely be...

There are a wealth of restaurants on this beach town, but I would definitely recommend coming here. First of all the food is very good, and very well portioned. I forgot to take the picture, but there is a seafood banquet thing that comes in a little barrel, it seems to be their specialty, and it is well worth the trip. Now, being a Portuguese restaurant, And by the coast, there aren’t very many veggie or vegan options, but most people will manage to survive. It is most definitely a fish based restaurant, and it is good at what it does.
