A nice venue for dining in. However, the food quality, in my opinion, is not matching the look. It's not cheap nor expensive, but the food is not great, including pizzas. To be fair, I'm quite picky about pizzas. The staff all seems nice people but a bit untrained. I asked for some sugar or honey to put in my lemonade and instead of giving me at the table, they took my glass away and brought back, with some foam! The mint ginger lemonade had no ginger in it, both glasses we ordered. The toast served on the starter of cauliflower+ blue cheese was not toasted, and the cheese mix under the surface was cold. The dessert with chocolate cake and ice cream is excellent though. The only thing they do well. The funny thing is this dessert was brought out 5 seconds after we ordered. 15 min later, they brought another one so obviously they mixed up orders between tables. This is one of my friend's favourite place but...
Read moreIt's ok, pizza is tasty enough, prices are a bit excessive.
Compared to what you would get in Italy, the pizza is extremely thin, more like a Flammkuech than an Italian pizza. This seems to be something they are aiming for, and the pizzas are tasty enough in their own way, so I can't really hold this against them. The thinness does mean, however, that you aren't getting quite as much food as you would expect from an Italian pizza, so bear this in mind if you are very hungry. Portugal is otherwise famous for huge portions, this is one of the only places I felt like ordering more food after finishing my meal.
The prices seem excessive to me compared to other food in Portugal, or when compared to pizza in Italy. A standard margarita costs about 7€, and the special one with a sprinkling of mussels was about 14€. The (fairly small) salmon carpaccio (made with smoked salmon) was also somewhat expensive...
Read morei have been to a few different luzzo over the years and the quality has been deteriorating, but it had never been quite so bad. we ordered garlic bread which was sliced toasted bread with cheese (not garlicky at all). we ordered “”””focaccia”””” which was toasted slices of bland bread, cost nearly 3€ and doesn’t even come with dips - just plain bland probably flash freezed bread. paid 5€ for a MOCKtail that was maybe 100ml and so incredibly sour it was virtually inedible (had to ask for sugar). to finish off the most unremarkable, forgettable margherita of my life. put me off ever coming back to this location or any other luzzo to be honest. a shame when the vibe is nice and it was supposed to be one of the few more modern restaurants in town; unfortunately doesn’t at all match the hype or...
