GULA. — Restaurant in Guarda

This is one of the very few place we had the best steak in Portugal. It really with the taste of beef it’s meant to be. Maybe inner cities has better carne than piexe/marisco which makes sense. The risotto however is a miss in terms of favor, maybe limited by ingredients too? The food is a bit of fusion style and so expect the price of dinner is higher than other traditional restaurants around. Among our few meals in Guarda, this is a little cozier than the others. The waiter was a bit on a rush though. Could hardly see what wine they r serving by the house but taste is very so so but the price was little anyway. Had a meal here 3 weeks ago, it was superb! Unfortunately they've changed the menu, missing chicken wings and breast of chicken which they had on before. Not as much choice now. Chicken noodles was OK but we wouldn't order it again. Prices are higher now too, €9 for 7 prawns starter. €16.50 for chicken noodles. We'll be back in the winter when the menu changes back! Reservamos para dos el pasado 6 de diciembre y nos sorprendió ver tanta gente en el interior porque habíamos reservado para las 13h, así que recomiendo por si acaso efectuar reserva siempre.

Se encuentra junto a la catedral de Guarda, así que no tiene pérdida y eso hará que se lleve con facilidad, además no es un sitio muy grande pero perfecto para sentirte muy cómodo.

Había menú del día pero nosotros teníamos claro que queríamos probar sus baos así que un plato lo teníamos decidido. Y el otro que elegimos fue el risotto de camarão, con cúrcuma, en un equilibrio perfecto y que se ha convertido en uno de mis platos favoritos. Como postre nos decidimos por el"jardim de inverno", para compartir, que no podía ser más bonito y además estar más rico.

Quizá por ponerle un pequeño pero la espera en nuestro caso fue un pelín superior a lo que veíamos con los menús, pero lo que elegimos llevaba su tiempo de elaboración y estaba sobresaliente en sabor.

Por todo ello además de una botella de agua filtrada y pan con mantequillas aromatizadas buenísimas fueron 49,25€/2 pax.

Relación calidad/precio excelente teniendo en cuenta la materia prima que disfrutamos, la elaboración de los platos, la presentación y el servicio, que fue muy atento y con gran simpatía desde que entramos por la puerta.
