We have been eating in many places in Horta during our vacation in April 2018, but this one was definitely the best. I have no idea why its got only 4 stars. It deserves much better opinion. I give it 5 stars. I just wish we found it earlier instead of trying so many worse restaurants which had 4+ stars for some weird reasons. During my visit I had a swordfish and I strongly recommend it. Menu is available in English. Many kinds of beers available, while other restaurants serve mostly one kind - usuallly Sagres. I spoke to the Owner himself and he seems to care a lot about his restaurant and guests. He promised all fish and meat is fresh from local suppliers. Staff is also very friendly and helpful. They all speak English very well. We could even taste their special local tangerine liqueur which was sooo goood ! I definitely recomment this...
Read moreWhen you go to Portugal, you will order fresh fish as your main course. However, this resturant in Horta serves bad fish. First of all the sea bream that they prepared was not fresh at all because we had this type of fish many times and in order to cover up they put a lot of salt. When we complained about it, the waiter or propably owner claimed that it is the traditional way to prepare it. At the end, he even charged us hot water as a cup of tea but without tea bag. His attitude was so bad that he said this is his way to serve his customer. lf so, l don't think he should be in resturant or any food business. This is our first bad exprience that happened to us while we had visited Portugal last 3...

We all shared starters: a great way to get a little of everything on offer. Wines and beers were good, with lots of local Azorean offerings too. Btw, they also have meat dishes, if preferred.
The pricing was very good, with starters from €2 (no, that's not a typo) to about €8, and main courses are all less than €20 (from...
