Casa De Pasto Escondidinho — Restaurant in Lagoa

I thought this little gem is worth mentioning since we've been back here two days in a row for dinner! This homestyle restaurant is a hidden/not hidden (rated 4.5 by 150 people on Google reviews). It's tucked away in a corner in the area of the private villas away from the beach area.

The first night we dined here it was super busy and the service was minimal. The restaurant is serviced by three middle aged men who are super friendly and relaxed. Our waiter was the menu. They serve a soup of the day, a special of the day/beef/pork/fish/turkey. All of the mains come with rice and french fries. We were served bread, olives and tuna cream to start, then followed by the soup and then the main course. The food here was simple and delicious on both nights that we were here! We are contemplating on coming back tomorrow as well.

The drinks here are served in large portions, when ordering the sangria, it comes by the jug. When ordering a port tonic or gin tonic you get a full water glass of port/gin with an additional smaller bottle of tonic water. It's impressive.

I'd definitely recommend this place, keep in my that it's not asuper fancy restaurant like most of the restaurants in the area. It's much more relaxed...

Pues yo discrepo de.los comentarios de la gente y no es que tenga el morro fino, nos atendieron a las 21.30, el camarero con mala cara el encargado agradable, somos una familia con 3 niñas pequeñas, sólo tenían opción de pollo, pavo o cerdo, no nos ofrecieron arroz por la ensalada o las patatas así que vinieron 3 medios pollos a la brasa, normales, nada espectacular, con la lechuga, tomate y cebolla acompañada de patatas fritas congeladas, de beber pedimos una cerveza sin alcohol y una normal, más una botella de 1,5 litros de agua, nos pusieron olivas, mantequilla y pan, no tomamos café, que se supone que entra en el menú y de postre sólo tenían pudin de caramelo, mousse de chocolate y arroz con leche, le pedimos un pudin y 2 mousses y nos trajeron una mousse y 2 arroz con leche, decían que no tenían pudin (pero a la mesa de al lado se lo llevaron después) osea que los comentarios de otra gente que a 11 euros con todo a nosotros no fue así, la cuenta en un papel rasgado y escrito a mano 46 euros. Bem, eu discordo dos comentários das pessoas e não é que eu tenha um nariz fino, eles nos serviram às 21h30, o garçom com cara de mau, o gerente simpático, somos uma família com 3 meninas, eles só tinham o opção de frango, peru ou porco, eles não nos ofereceram arroz para a salada nem as batatas então vieram 3 frangos meio grelhados, normal, nada espetacular, com alface, tomate e cebola acompanhados de batatas fritas congeladas, para beber pedimos um não -cerveja alcoólica e uma normal, além de uma garrafa de 1,5 litro de água, eles nos deram azeitonas, manteiga e pão, não tomamos café, que deveria estar no menu e para a sobremesa só pudim de caramelo, mousse de chocolate e arroz doce, pedimos um pudim e 2 mousses e eles nos trouxeram uma mousse e 2 arroz doce, disseram que não tinham pudim (mas levaram para a mesa ao lado mais tarde) quero dizer comentários de outras pessoas que 11 euros com tudo para nós Não foi assim, a conta foi escrita em um pedaço de papel rasgado à mão ou 46 euros. This restaurant is well out the way but you can find it with Google maps. There was plenty of parking and plenty of space inside, although we were told it is so popular you have to book. They do a fixed price meal of €15 for that you get your bread & olives, a starter of soup, main course choice of 4 different dishes I had grilled Turkey steak with egg, chips, and salad. There was fresh fish on offer and pork or chicken stew. I tried some of everything and it was all really tasty. You also get a beer or a soada if you order lemonade you get a pint 😳 for desert there was ice cream or chocolate mousse or fresh fruit. Then you can have a glass of port or a liqueur of your choice and a coffee. So for that it would be very difficult to find anything negative to say.
