Food was ok, but nothing extraordinary...expensive in relation to the amount received. The staff was terrible...they didn't treat us well from the start when we arrived...there was no one at the entrance to welcome us...when someone finally arrived, not even in length, they were asked right away if we had a reservation…we didn't have a reservation….so they made it seem like there was no place for us, but the employee went out to see if he could fit us somewhere…with a frown and in a bad mood…he came back saying that a table would be vacated in a few minutes….it took us a few minutes to get the table (dirty - they only took away the plates and cutlery but never really cleaned the table). The entire time we felt as if we were disturbing the staff, as if they didn't want us there, as if they had done us a favor by letting us in, we wanted to finish our food as quickly as possible and get out of that environment. The service was extremely slow. the staff did not know how to answer our questions, which were simply about the ingredients of some dishes. We had one person in our group with a gluten allergy and they couldn't even tell if the food/dish had gluten included. They passed the question from employee to employee to answer. They kept coming to our table to ask what question we had and never answered, until then one of them came with a table that contained the list of dishes and their allergic content. However, they did not even know how to explain the information in the table. We had to decipher the information. After we finally managed to place the order, the food took a while to arrive, they didn't all arrive at the same time, during dinner no employee came by to check if we needed anything. We had to ask for the bill more than once, which also took a long time to arrive. I never want to go back to this restaurant again and I don't recommend...
Read moreNever in my 46 years of my life have I ever walked out of a restaurant until today. Service was rude based on a mistake on both their badly translated menu and me ordering a vegetarian dish that came with meat. In the UK the acknowledgement of error would have been accepted via both parties and it rectified. We were basically told we were liars. That their English wasn't good enough to know I was telling the truth. Why would a vegetarian order a meat dish 😱 This treatment alone, we asked for the bill for what we had on the table and wanted to leave. They said 'pay for all, or we call the police!' How did that go from what really started as their mistake to calling the police as we wanted to leave for their really bad service and treatment towards us. I'm am wondering if there was another motive behind it based on who we were or where we came from. After it calmed a little we paid (as we wanted to) for what was on the table then left. Never had this experience before. FYI - Bread Cheese and Rocket, should not come out...
Read moreI wanted a salad but not with veal strips, asked if it could be replaced with chicken, was told no, there was no flexibility, so we ordered piri piri chicken with chips and salad, didn’t get that much chicken but what there was it was nice. I had steak sandwich in a brioche bun with caramelised onion with chips, it was very tasty and the portion of chips huge, a small salad with chips would have been much nicer than half a plate of chips, not only would it be healthier it would also look far more appealing. Would I go back, yes but there’s plenty of restaurants to choose from so...
