Rude and arrogant waiter :( My wife called up to make reservation and was told to arrive not a minute before or a minute after our reservation. Stressful to be that strict when trying to get there with a child! On arrival, literally no other table were occupied. We asked if the fish fingers had egg in them as our 4 year old has an egg allergy. Was told rudely "of course they do, they have breadcrumbs" we explained that frequently they are made without egg (as this is something we ask often). He didn't want to check the ingredients for us. Next we asked if they could do a steak with no sauce for our son and we ordered that with two duck dishes for my wife and I. They brought out the duck but not the steak. We waited, and waited. Then asked where the steak was only to be told rudely by the waiter "I recommend the steak but you didn't want it." while flapping his arms at us. REALLY, how did he work that out!!!? What parents don't order food for their child and what waiter doesn't make sure everyone has ordered something. No apology was made, although he did offer to make one steak dish quickly but we declined as it was now too late. The duck was served over well done but otherwise, what could have been a nice meal was ruined by a waiter that needed to be right more than he needed happy customers. The restaurant is so intimate and the service is exceptional - everyone was so attentive and friendly. The wine was delightful (we had the house rosé, which was only €16!) The waiter asked how my meal was and when I explained that I couldn’t eat it his response was ‘that’s because you chose frozen fish’! It’s still possible to cook frozen fish without overcooking it.
