Dieses Restaurant ist in Ordnung aber bei weitem kein 5 Sterne Lokal. Ja ich muss gestehen, wir waren sehr verwöhnt von unserem Hotel und haben einfach mal auswärst essen wollen. Da dieses Restaurant so gut bewertet wurde haben wir einen Versuch gewagt. Sonderlich gemütlich / schön sieht es leider nicht aus, sondern ist sehr schlicht und nüchtern. Es wirkt genauso lieblos wie die folgenden Erlebnisse. Wasser braucht man nicht bestellen, sondern nimmt am Besten gleich was richtiges zum Trinken. Wir haben stilles Wasser bestellt und dafür die "hässliche" Metro Eigenmarke Aro in der Plastikflasche auf den Tisch gestellt bekommen. 1l kostet da im ca. 150 Meter entfernten Supermarkt ca. 30 cent, als Großeinkäufer zahlt das Restaurant vermutlich noch weniger. Wir sollten im Veleiro dafür jedoch um die 3 € bezahlen was ich doch ganz schön frech finde. Von den Vorspeisen RATE ICH GANZ KLAR AB! Es handelt sich um kleine in Plastikverpackungen abgepackte Butter, Sardinenpaste, Käse sowie relativ günstige Oliven und geschnittenes Brot auf Supermarktniveau. Das wird einfach alles lieblos auf den Tisch gestellt und kostet dann sage und schreibe 10 €. Das geht gar nicht!!! Wir haben im herrlichen Adega bei Vila Vita Parc für dreierlei selbstgemachte Butter, superleckeren Käse, wohlschmeckendes Olivenöl und hochwertige Oliven pro Person 3,50 pro Person gezahlt also zu zweit 7€ - das jedoch für einen absoluten Gaumenschmaus der schön hergerichtet wurde. Also Finger weg von den Vorspeisen bei Veleiro, es ist nur Abzocke. Die Hauptspeisen waren recht gut. Den Fisch nach Veleiro Art kann ich absolut empfehlen bis auf die künstlichen pinken Kischstückchen die darauf verteilt waren, aber diese kann man rauspicken. Das Rindersteake Algarve (Veleiro) Art fand ich jedoch viel zu zäh. Wenn man hungrig ist und ansonsten nicht gut versorgt wird bzw. nur Fastfood zur Auswahl hat, ist das Veleiro ok. Aber als gut würde ich das Lokal nicht bezeichnen und auch nicht nochmal hin gehen.

We ordered still water and got the "ugly" Aro in the plastic bottle on the table. 1l costs about 30 cent in the supermarket about 150 meters away, as a large buyer pays the restaurant probably even less. We had to pay in the Veleiro € 3 which I think is pretty impudent. About the appetizers I HIGHLY RECOMEND TO NOT TRY THEM! These are small plastic packaged butter, sardine paste, cheese and relatively cheap olives and sliced ​​bread straight form the supermarket to the table. This is simply loveless put on the table and then costs incredible € 10 for two. That is not how it works!!! In the splendid Adega at Vila Vita Parc we have three homemade butter, super delicious cheese, delicious olive oil and high quality olives for €3.50 per person, so € 7 for two - but this was a nicely prepared culinary delight. So hands off from the appetizers at Veleiro, it's just rip off. The mains were pretty good. The fish according to Veleiro Art, I can absolutely recommend except for the artificial pink cherry pieces were distributed on it, but these can be picked out. However, I found the beef steak Algarve (Veleiro) kind far too tough. If you are hungry and have only fast food as other option, the Veleiro is ok. I would not recomend this restaurant and not...

Wonderful little restaurant. Really friendly , with a great sense of humour staff , they have greeted us and served us starters in no time . They all were extremely friendly and give us really good recommendations on what to eat . Drinks and food was served quick . We had fish curry and stonebas fish . Both presented beautifully , temperature of food and seasoning was perfect . If you are visiting I highly recommend trying all traditional dishes and local wine as it is fantastic . We left with full belly . Lovely little restaurant, don’t travel no further if you’re staying in the walking distance . I couldn’t recommend this...

What a great find!! Passed by the restaurant on our way to the beach and it stood out as it looked very good.

Went in around 6 pm just before theor donner rush so it was empty. It filled up and it was a great buzz.

The waiters are very experienced and great at their job.

Great wine selection too.

The menu is very big and it has a bit of everything for everyone.

We got a sea food focused dinner and everything was great!

The chefs did an amazing job and the food was fresh and tasty!

Definitely a place to try if you're in the area!
