Vila Aldeamento do Levante — Hotel in Lagoa

We recently stayed at one of the units of this property during our summer holiday in the Algarve and, unfortunately, our experience didn’t match the listing’s description or the reviews we had read on Google nor Airbnb. While the location and welcome are nice, and the roof terrace is lovely, we encountered several issues that significantly affected our stay:

• Cleanliness: The apartment was not as described (Airbnb: “totally clean and disinfected”). We found crumbs, hair, and dust throughout, plus a used dog toy in the private garden and a box of dirty laundry left outside. • Bathrooms & Kitchen: Both bathrooms need urgent maintenance. The downstairs shower leaks constantly, and a towel had been placed on the floor to catch the drip, which had turned brown and raises hygiene concerns. There’s also some mould in the main bathtub, and the hot water was inconsistent. In the kitchen, several cupboard doors and drawers don’t close properly, and there were ants upon arrival. • Comfort & Amenities: The bed in the main bedroom is extremely noisy, making restful sleep difficult. The pool area is misrepresented on the Airbnb page — there are no chairs or loungers despite the listing showing them. The listing also mentions a dryer, but there isn’t one. The television is smaller than described (size PC monitor). • Overall Value: We chose this property based on its photos, descriptions, and positive reviews, but the reality didn’t align. For the price paid, we expected a decent standard and more accurate representation.

We had a wonderful stay in the apartement. Everything was just like in the pictures. The view of the sea from the roof terrace was always breathtaking. The complex where the apartement of was very clean and well maintained, we felt really comfortable here. Our personal highlight was the short distance to the bay. Von dem Moment an, als wir die Vila Aldeamento betraten, wussten wir, dass wir einen besonderen Ort gefunden hatten. Die dreistöckige Villa, direkt am glitzernden Meer Portugals gelegen, bot uns einen atemberaubenden Blick, den wir jeden Morgen beim Aufwachen genossen.

Die Villa selbst ist ein Meisterwerk der Bequemlichkeit und des Luxus. Jedes Zimmer ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und bietet Komfort, der unsere Erwartungen übertraf. Die Waschmaschine war eine willkommene Ergänzung, die es uns ermöglichte, leicht zu packen und trotzdem frische Kleidung zur Hand zu haben.

Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir nicht nur mit einem Geschenkkorb begrüßt, der mit lokalem Olivenöl, einer Auswahl an köstlichen Süßigkeiten und sogar Waschpulver für unsere ersten Wäschen gefüllt war, sondern auch mit einer herzlichen Begrüßung. Das Personal war außergewöhnlich freundlich und gab uns wertvolle Tipps für Unternehmungen in der Umgebung, die unseren Urlaub bereichert haben.

Ob wir nun die Sonne auf einer der Terrassen genossen, in der Nähe frischen Fisch auf dem Grill zubereiteten oder einfach nur das Rauschen der Wellen lauschten, die Vila Aldeamento war der perfekte Rückzugsort für unsere Auszeit.
