Frango Dourado — Restaurant in Lagos

Our first time at this local restaurant after being recommended by a friend of ours who joined us... We was suprised how nice and spacious it was inside. The 3 of us shared the piri piri chicken which came with a huge portion of chips, bowl of mixed salad, and a dish of rice with mixed vegetables... Now this is genuinely a true statement.... This was the best piri piri chicken that we have had since 2002.Very tasty, very succulent chicken and done piri piri style with a lovely but not too hot kick. Best piri piri chicken! The food here is delicious. My friend and I both ordered the grilled chicken which was the best piri piri chicken we've ever had. I am a lover of a certain well known piri chicken place and this beats it hands down. The meal came with yummy chips and a hearty portion of tasty salad, rice and veg. The venue attracts a lot of locals which is always a good sign and it's reasonably priced too. It's a must visit in Lagos for a nutritious and delicious meal....

We had read about this place and it had good reviews. The look of it was very simple and not as cozy as the restaurants in the old town, but sometimes that is a good sign for a genuine local restaurant. Good service. The food was good, not more or less. Some of us had piri piri chicken, which was traditional, nice but a bit dry. One of us had fish (sea bream) which was good, the downside was out of all 10ish fish on the menu the only had that one.
