It was one of the best dinners I had in Lisbon. We have found this place almost by accident, looking for some snack bar. It’s very popular between local society - we were there about noon, on Friday and restaurant was full. Its much bigger than it looks (2 levels). I was impressed how quickly everything is served and how staff is working - on the run all the time. In whole this rush, waitress found time to recommend main dish and great white wine, despite rhe fact that this is not place where tourists are landing usually (they have no english menu). It was golden shot. Borh grilled fishes: Dorada and Robalo were perfect and played well with smooth, dry wine suggested by waitress. Simple but tasty, with delicate taste of smoke. Also their special cake (similar to apple pie but with very specific filling) was great accent finishing our visit. It was real pleasure to eat between locals, without other tourists. I strongly recommend this place. Meat dishes also looked cool and tasty ;) Huge respect to friendly, helpfull staff.
Prices: pretty friendly for your wallet. They also have huge, round tables for...

I said what ? By then the other staff jumped in and tried to cover up the fact that this old racist bald man had a problem with me. The young water was extremely nice and that’s the only reason I’m giving this place a 2 star.
I almost left. I asked them if that bald waiter had a problem with me and they tried to tell me in Portuguese you greet people “Good Evening”. I said he didn’t say good evening, he said good night which means leave !
If they don’t want foreigners then don’t ask the foreigners to come to your country ! You want our money but you can’t even serve people with a smile on your face? It’s your ENTIRE JOB! You’re a waiter...
Read moreWe had salmon and baccalà, the salmon was nice but the baccalà overcooked, dry and salty. Too bad, the house wine was really nice, and the potatoes and veggies were, too. I had to ask for my salad, which was supposed to be included, and they put a coffee on our check which we had not ordered. So, summing up, if we lived in the vicinity we would give it another try, but we were not...
