Búzios used to be one of our go-to spots—yes, pricey, but worth it. Not anymore. This season, it’s like they spun a wheel of bad decisions and went all-in.
First, the menu: what menu? They’ve trimmed it down to a sad little list that feels more like an afterthought than a dining experience. All our favorites from last year? Gone. Fresh seafood and salads? Good luck. It honestly feels like the chef quit and they just handed the kitchen over to someone with a microwave and a Pinterest account.
Then there’s the service, which was almost impressive in how bad it was. Waiters who clearly have no idea what’s going on—mains arrived before the drinks (a bold choice), empty glasses stayed on the table like decorative centerpieces, and salt and pepper were delivered in fast-food-style sachets. Classy. All of this served with zero charm or friendliness.

We were using the beach chairs outside, firstly we were told that if you want one deck chair you have to pay for two because you’re using one umbrella which I didn’t really think was fair. We then proceed to go inside and order a there was no lunch options again fine we should of checked we then ask if we can have the chicken and rice off the kids menu and then order a side of chips. The waiter (who was already extremely rude) decided to explain it’s not possible and that he would have to make us have an adult version for €18 euro, again we said that was fine however we don’t want rice can we have chip to which the reply was absolutely not you cannot make any changes to any of the dishes. Okay. Although he was rude we thought fair enough rules are rules. Negative : The beach area is small for the number of people that coming there. Beach beds are limited and controlled by Dom Pedro Marina Hotel which allow just their own guests be able to reserve and staff are not really helpful, while there were several empty beach bed for whole day, they were saying that they are not available. The first 2 raws for half of day is 28 euros and other raws 17 euros for half of day. Its crowd beach.
