Purobeach Vilamoura — Restaurant in Loulé

We came by this beach club by pure accident after having drinks at the hotel it’s linked to so we booked a day here , what a amazing experience , we were only staying at a local apartment in Villamora marina so this was a treat we’ll worth the money , it was £25 euros each for 2 lovely and ever so comfortable beach loungers and unberella and towels , we were not expecting the complementary bottle water and little fruit bowel

The service was good , not intrusive but attentive and the staff were really nice

Chilled background music plays but at 4pm a DJ comes in and plays house , and soulful vibe tunes a little louder but again not too much, I saw all ages vining to the music it felt good.

We ordered food , nachos , toasted sandwiches & fish tacos all hot and tasty and served to you at your sunbeds but you can go to the lounge area.

We just had soft drinks and noticed the wine and cocktails a little pricy but no pressure to buy and there is a little restaurant about 5 min away which you can eat in and it’s a bit cheaper and more choice, we also brought our own water with us .

We had a fabulous day , not one complaint , you have to expect to pay more otherwise the place would be crowded and you’d never get in.

There were a few beach sellers but they were polite and moved on if you said no thanks not interested ( they actually had some nice pieces to sell ).

We’ve booked to go in a few days as we had a enjoyable time and it’s our vibe.

I honestly have nothing to complain about , loved every second and so did others we met there.

Just think of you hired a basic deckchair on the beach it’s around 15 euros for the day so to be waited on , have comfortable beds , cold drinks and good music , I’m Up for this x

To be honest I don't like to write negative reviews as I understand that people work hard in the hospitality industry and it's not possible to please everyone and I have tried to give the benefit of doubt to them in every possible way.

IF I COULD THIS PLACE WOULD RECEIVE A NEGATIVE RATING AND NOT 1 STAR.

We visited this beach club in September 2022. I had booked the beds online. However when we reached the club the beds were not to our liking and we choose different category. For this we were asked to pay the ENTIRE AMOUNT as it's not possible to adjust the amount for a different category bed and were told that the initial payment will be refunded.

While leaving we enquired about the refund and were told that there was some problem and they would have to do the process from the head office and I would receive the same in a few days.

Now it has been more than 5 months and after more than 20 communications with them in writing and agreeing to every request including the fact that they can't refund the amount back to my credit card (which is ridiculous to say the least) and providing them a bank account number for refund they have stopped replying to my emails and are not refunding the money.

Further ridiculous is the fact that they offered me to use the money the next time I visit their beach club which is laughable because if it is possible to ADJUST earlier payments against some new booking why was it not done on the first place. When I asked this question it was conveniently ignored.

It is very clear that the intent from Purobeach is to CHEAT AND DEFRAUD customers wherever they can. I have written proof of every statement made here.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS FRAUD ESTABLISHMENT. COMPLETELY DISGUSTED WITH THIS PLACE AND...

We went to Purobeach on Saturday as a large group of 7 ladies. All the staff we came into contact with were very pleasant. Initially we waited a little longer for service as there seemed to be a mix up and a huge group were brought their orders before ours, despite arriving at least 30 minutes after us. However once the same waiter took our order a couple of times we stuck with him, he was exceptionally nice and we were looked after by him, his name escapes me but he was great. Roberta was also helpful and chatty which makes for a lovely day. The staff do work very hard! The welcome team even helped me charge my phone for a short while which was really appreciated.

The food was pleasant, they had a range of options which, amongst the 7 of us, we managed most of the menu. The fish tacos are surprisingly filling! I’d recommend some more nibble type food such as sushi or tempura type dishes as I felt chips were a bit heavy for the type of day we were having. I also think having options for the type of champagne should be on offer, Mumm isn’t my favourite as it gives me heartburn therefore it would have been nice to have another option, perhaps a Rose champagne.

I’d recommend Purobeach for a chilled out day and depending on the other clientele visiting at the time, you may or may not have a more party vibe. We loved it, the music was great and the only other thing I’d suggest is the addition of some live music.

Overall a great day. 5 stars....
