Crítica referente ao passeio às grutas de Benagil: Imensa falta de profissionalismo da tripulação, e imagens enganosas no site! Um passeio que deveria ter sido agradável resultou numas férias praticamente estragadas: hematomas e forte dor de costas que condicionaram/impossibilitaram atividades nos dias seguintes. O barco em que se realizou o passeio não era minimamente semelhante ao apresentado no site: em vez de cadeiras individuais com apoios frontais, eram bancos corridos cujo único apoio era o ‘corrimão’ que ficava nas costas, conforme podem ver na fotografia (tirada na chegada às grutas, em que o barco segue em baixa velocidade, porque na restante parte da viagem era impossível sequer pegar num telemóvel). Este barco não está adaptado à velocidade a que fomos sujeitos pelo capitão: aquaplanagem constante resultando em que os passageiros levantavam voo e batiam com força excessiva nos bancos, durante mais de 2horas. O pior sucedeu quando um passageiro se queixou: o capitão, em vez de ser compreensivo, reagiu agressivamente. Justificou que ‘AINDA ninguém se tinha magoado’, e que ‘tinha um horário a cumprir’. No entanto, mesmo acabando por abrandar, regressou mais de 15 minutos mais cedo que o previsto… É para completar, a guia foi vista à chegada a falar com uma colega e a apontar o dedo ao passageiro que se queixou… A paragem para banhos publicitada no site também não existiu nem foi mencionada… mesmo que tenha sido por falta de condições no mar, não o justificaram. Parte positiva: a paisagem é realmente muito bonita, as praias, as grutas e outras formações rochosas, e foram bem apresentadas pela guia. Recomendo o passeio, mas não esta empresa. Há bastante oferta, tanto em Vilamoura como em Albufeira, por isso escolham outra empresa.

Paid €1125 to charter the Sao Laurenco We were unlucky with the weather but can't hold that against them. Lovely boat but speed restricted to "save fuel"!? I'd have gladly paid extra to have a proper experience! Food was terrible - maybe less than €5 was spent in IKEA on budget croissants and sliced cheese. ONE small bag of crisps on board the whole boat??!! No water sports on the RIB. If they spent €30 in a local restaurant for mezze it would have been world's better, just ZERO effort was put into the trip from the company.

The boat trip started off as advertised and we sailed along the algarve coast. The crew mentioned a few areas of interest along the way. After we had looked around the Benagil caves, we expected - and I quote - 'the return trip allows you to sit back, relax and enjoy the best scenery in the Algarve'. Not on our trip. The boat turned out towards the sea and drove at high speed. This was a nightmare for us as my husband had broken his back months previously and WAS on the mend. Each bang into the ocean felt like we were being dropped on a concrete base. At no point were we - or anyone else - asked if there were any back or neck injuries that would preclude us from this trip. I would say if you have any previous injuries or do not like being smashed around at speed then this is NOT the trip for you - and it was definitely not a relaxing trip back to the Marina as advertised....

We did the Benagil Cave Tour on Thursday, 31st July 2025. The sea was a little choppy but not a problem in the AltoMar II (large zodiac style speedboat). The seats were excellent - almost like helicopter seats - comfortable with plenty of back and head support. Travelled out to sea to find the dolphins chasing their lunch. Interesting experience. The lady that was the tour guide was very good as well: very pleasant and gave a good description of the Cretaceous limestone formations where the caves and the Yellow Submarine outcrop have formed. WARNING: TOO FAST & BUMPY - RISK OF A SLIPPED DISC. This boat trip was so fast and bumpy that my mum actually suffered a slipped disc and has been in severe pain for a month now. I also found it incredibly painful as the boat was aquaplaning really badly the whole way back, we were flying off the seats and hitting back down with excessive force. There was no warning of this at all prior to the trip and no health checks done whatsoever. This should not be allowed.
