Hannah's Place — Restaurant in Loulé

I thought this place would be a hidden gem based on these other reviews.

The location is good and the locale is nice.

We ordered from the day's special "shrimp poke bowl" and the salad was not fresh which is concerning since unwashed salad etc is common for bacteria in Portugal.. cucumber was not fresh, olives were completely dry, served with a very old lemon.

Maybe we just had bad luck and timing here as I don't mean to be unfair to the establishment but I wonder why someone would serve obviously old vegetables in the first place.

Hoped it would be a hidden gem as they had a good menu with many nice options but well there are plenty other places to try so not...

A hidden gem Hanna is lovely and so professional It’s a real treat to visit her lovely little establishment for lunch Great tasty perfectly cooked home made food. She is a superb host and the menu has a great daily specials board I can highly recommend this Whatever you have will be excellent . I had tagliatelle with blue cheese sauce and chicken with apple crumble with custard to follow. The coffee is first rate. You must go to Hannah's place! Service, food and atmosphere were all great!! The menu was great and the specials board was more than I would have expected. A great quiche that my sister and I had and Coronation chicken for my Mom which she also loved. We had smoothies, crumpets and my brother liked it so much, he got two full meals! We sat outside in the "garden" and our wonderful server lifted the umbrella stand to maximize comfort. Parking was easy and this was worth the short drive from where we were staying.
