Praça Vale do Lobo — Restaurant in Loulé

This one’s for the Praça management team.

It’s 8.20am on a beautiful Monday morning.

I’m sat at Doce enjoying the view of the ocean, listening to the birds and the coffee shop chit-chat.

What I’m not enjoying is the unfortunately loud music being blasted from the Praça PA system.

It’s so loud that it clashes with anything being played in the cafe, smothering any attempts at creating an enjoyable atmosphere.

It might be more tolerable if the music was curated, but the chosen playlist is more suited to peak hours at a franchise budget gym. I imagine the playlist is called something like ‘BEST HITS 🔥’. It’s terrible.

For the love of god, please reevaluate your soundscape.

You don’t need to play music constantly. When you do play music, keep the volume appropriate to the time of day. Select a playlist which makes sense. There are literally thousands already...

Really nice area, I'm sure it would be buzzing in the height of summer. But over October half term, more than half the places are closed, which makes the atmosphere a bit odd. Good selection of restaurants and places to drink. Right on the beach so easily accessible for refreshments. Night time entertainment was great for all the family with bands, singers and dancers. The Deck Bar is lively at night and a great spot to party...
