Terrible experience, restaurant had 4 tables of dinners and they sat us next to people with 2 dogs in when the rest of restaurant was available. we then asked for the Carrot, coriander and coconut soup to start before a steak for main, the waiter who looked like side show bobs twin brother told us if we wanted the soup we had to eat everything on the specials menu as that was only available on the special 3 courses for €25, I explained I didn’t want that but was happy to pay for the soup and then a steak. side show bobs twin told me that is not possible and that my options were to eat 3 things from the special €25 menu or pay €25 just for the soup. I told him a man had eaten on the moon so how is it “not possible to sell me a bowl of soup”? If the restaurant was full and it was a stress I could half understand but they had the soup and the staff and only 4 tables of customers. the owner has built this place for no other reason than to put money in the till and here is some Barber shy waiter killing the job on the last fence. my advice is keep walking 100 yards to one of many more accommodating...
Read moreIf you don’t want to be surrounded by young children, do not go as we did at 19:30!! After they left our evening began. Lovely table at the front, beautiful views & a good looking menu. The service was ok; mid range & the food was good but not compared to the cost. Certainly everything presented well in the plate & tasted good. However the sharing prawns dish we had with drinks, whilst delicious in flavour, the prawns were sadly overcooked. It was disappointing that the crispy panko prawns were 2 not 3, for the price it should be 3. The Thai noodle salad with it I liked & ate, my husband did not enjoy that element of the dish. The lamb bulgar salad main was very good, lamb pink, but too large a portion for 1. The miso blackened salmon whilst nice was not as good as it ought to have been, slightly overcooked too. Overall impression was nice place, nice enough food but over priced for what we had and the experience was not as good...
Read moreAn absolutely amazing place! U&Co impressed us from the very beginning – a stunning interior, breathtaking ocean views, and a fantastic vibe that makes you want to stay longer.
The staff was incredibly kind and professional, taking care of us with warmth and genuine hospitality.
And the food? Simply outstanding! We started with sushi with a crispy crust and takoyaki as appetizers – both delicious and beautifully presented. For the main course, we had a tender steak with sweet potatoes that melted in the mouth, and a creamy seafood pasta with perfectly balanced flavors and texture.
We finished with a banana toffee dessert – smooth, not overly sweet, just the perfect way to end the meal.
The dry white wine we chose paired beautifully with the dishes and was of excellent quality.
U&Co is the kind of place you’ll want to return to – outstanding food, a gorgeous setting, and a wonderful atmosphere. Highly...
