Sabores do Churrasco Village — Restaurant in Loulé

We recently celebrated two birthdays together at this restaurant, and overall, it was a lovely experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and most of the staff — especially one in red shirt and the kitchen team serving the meats — were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel very well taken care of.

The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, high-quality meats, a wide variety of options, and generous portions. For around €25–€30 per person including drinks, it's great value for what you get. We were more than satisfied with the selection and taste.

However, our experience was slightly overshadowed by one staff member, a young man in a black uniform, whose attitude felt indifferent and unhelpful - no smile, not at all hospitable… He made us feel we were wasting his precious time! While everyone else went out of their way to make our celebration enjoyable, his lack of enthusiasm stood out. To top it off, at the cashier, he was distracted on his phone and even needed assistance from us to manage a basic bill split — something that should have been simple & straightforward. His “know it all” attitude surely did poorly here!

It’s unfortunate, because this one interaction affected an otherwise fantastic evening. For that reason, I’m giving a 4-star rating, but definitely 10-stars, for the friendly professional kitchen team and the waiter in the...

Started off badly..no butter or olives, apparently run out of both, is that possible in a Portuguese restaurant? After that, the didn't have the wine we wanted and then we had to wait over an hour for our food...and it wasn't busy. On top of that a family dining there, who were on holiday, were not happy with their food, saying that they didn't get what they ordered and they all got their food at different times, which is never nice. Changed name recently, so decided to try the new place. Staff looked at us walk in and ignored us. After 10 min a waiter brought us photocopied A4 pages on a clipboard (menu). Limited variety of food. Small portion of meat and mostly fat. A few fries and a basic salad. Not wanting meatx two of us ordered pizza as last resort. Pizza was OK, but nothing to write home about. Bright lights, no ambiance. Hard uncomfortable wooden chairs. Average cost 18 € per person for a basic meal. Not to be repeated or...
