The Hut — Restaurant in Loulé

That little bit of England right near the beach of Quarteira. There's only great things to say about this place. We spent 20 days in Quarteira and I believe we went to The Hut everyday for breakfast, also a few times for dinner or just a drink. You just can't find customer service like that, 5 stars staff always with a big smile and ready for a chat that makes you feel welcome all the time. The food is great and the prices are really good, you even get some loyalty cards that gave us a couple of free breakfasts! We went there for breakfast on the birthday of one family member and they surprised her with a table with a "Happy birthday" sign, some sparkling wine and 4 different types of cake, that's pure amazing customer service. To be honest, it feels more that you are visiting family than actually eating in a restaurant, the atmosphere is so friendly and relaxed that you can't really ask for a better place to start your day. We booked Sunday lunch for 2, it was just OK. The ladies who run it are very very welcoming and great customer service. My partner had a beef roast and said it was good, but I had turkey and there were definitely some elements of it that tasted odd - the gravy and sprouts almost tasted like washing up liquid, perhaps they got contaminated or something? And the turkey tasted gone-off to me, my partner ended up eating it but commented it “tasted a bit strange”. I was excited to try this place for breakfast and when I saw it had high reviews I thought ok it’s got to be good! Sigh. I was sooo disappointed. My omelette was soo overcooked it was like eating plastic stuffed with 5lbs of cheese that almost made me choke. I asked for toast with butter which came cold with the butter on the side. Even more disappointing as that was all that was remotely edible. My husband had coffee which he said was terrible. He enjoyed his English breakfast and my son enjoyed his bacon and egg sandwich.
