Vivant. Food & Drinks — Restaurant in Loulé

First of all, they told us that the only time available for reservation is 18:30 or 19:00. We came at 19:00 and nobody else was there until 19:45. The live band was supposed to start at 20:00. We left at 21:30 and only a few other tables were occupied and the band is nowhere to be seen. The garden is really lovely and looks nice and the staff amazing. But the most important part - the food was mediocre at best. Starters were nothing special, the cheese churros were like a frozen food for the supermarket. On the topic of main dishes - Squid risotto was amazing, the octopus was okay and the pizza tasteless. On the menu, it sounded amazing but the reality was very different. Now on to the deserts, they also sounded amazing but were awful. The creme brulee wasn’t cremee brulee at all. It was the equivalent of the tasteless icing you put on the cake. The mousse and panna cota weren’t much better. Wouldn’t recommend, nor returned. The prices are high considering the quality of the food you get - a dinner for 3...

Unfortunately, my experience at Vivant was very disappointing. The meal was far below expectations for a restaurant of this level. The fries came with what looked like a “kidnap” inside – completely unacceptable. The meat was average to good, but certainly nothing memorable. To make things worse, most of the wines listed on the menu were not actually available, which is quite frustrating when you expect proper pairing options.

After pointing these issues out, they removed the €6 charge for the fries from the bill — but when you’re spending around €200, this “gesture” feels like a joke. It shows a lack of seriousness in handling such a problem.

Overall, for this type of establishment, the combination of average food, unavailable wines, poor service, and a dismissive attitude made it a very underwhelming experience. Sadly, not a place I would recommend...

Nao jantei aqui. Vou criticar apenas o serviço relativo à parte da “diversão noturna”. Começo pela compra dos bilhetes de entrada onde haviam supostamente 2 opções: 25€ com 2 bolinhas drinks included ou 35€ com 3 bolinhas drinks included”, na minha inocência pensei “25€ 2 bebidas ou 35€ com 3 bebidas”, comprei o mais caro. Cheguei ao estabelecimento à 1 da manhã e deparo-me com uma mulher super antipatica que me nega as tais “3 bebidas” dizendo que as bolinhas significam as fases de compra de bilhetes e não o número de bebidas de oferta. Tentei ripostar e mostrar o meu lado de cliente ao que ela diz “eu nem sequer sou da festa, sou do restaurante e já devia ter saído à meia noite” . Acabei por não me chatear e entrei pagando já previamente os 35€ e só me deram 1 bebida. Fui direto ao balcão pedir a minha única bebida de oferta por 35€ e pedi o melhor gin ao que me dizem “ não está incluído nessa bebida de oferta “. Pedi então a carta que me diria quais as bebidas que estavam incluídas nestes ticket de oferta ao que me respondem no bar “ opa não sei o que está incluído, eu só sirvo copos”. Fico confuso, o rapaz do bar desiste e fez-me o melhor gin dizendo “ não me voltes a pedir porque ninguém pode ver que te estou a servir o melhor gin com o ticket de oferta”.

Fui então para a pista para tentar divertir-me e vejo 2 miúdos na mesa de mistura a brincar com músicas que nada tinham a ver, a fazer transições super estranhas de funk para reggaeton e com um volume super baixo que fazia com que ouvisse mais os comentários dos clientes do que da própria música, sabendo que vim aqui hoje porque a noite era temática de pagode entitulada “grupo menos é mais”. Fiquei 10 minutos no Vivant e não pretendo voltar nem tão pouco...
