The Cave — Restaurant in Loures

Honestly looking at the review we were kinda shocked once we got there. So before going in to the bad, I have to be honest, the owners were truly kind and welcoming, so service is good, but the food and the place are just too bad to be all 5 stars review. My honest review is that the place is a wreck, truly bad interior, almost scary, and there are no hamburger, just fried chicken. And unluckily the oil for the fried things (all the things) was probably 3 to 5 days old, with an awful taste and smell. Also no ventilation in the kitchen, forcing the owners to keep the main door open in January, not helping the terrible smell of oil in the room. We couldn’t find the courage to go to the bathroom. Overall I would not suggest to visit this restaurant if they will not improve in some fried quality and some intense room interior...

I tried this new place in Lisbon and was blown away! The chicken is crispy and fresh, fries really tasty and each sauce tastes as advertised (WARNING for the extra hot sauce 🌶️🔥😋!). Tried the fried chicken fatteh and this is the first time I had a dish like this, I love fusion cuisine so it was a very nice and unexpected dish to find at a fast food restaurant like this one.

The atmosphere was friendly and the shop’s interior design really on brand - there was so many “cave”details to look at and appreciate while waiting for the food!

Extra points for having drinks on the menu that weren’t from one of the big, unethical international brands. ☺️

Ok, so I never leave reviews but man, this place was something else . It’s been almost 3 years that I’ve moved to Lisbon and was failing on my quest to find a good halal burger. To my surprise, I really struck gold coming to The Cave. I had the Mega mammoth and boy was that massive! Hands down the best chicken burger that I’ve ever had. The size was OMG, finally a burger filling up my appetite. The taste was amazing! I had the garlic sauce to go with it and it really complimented the patty. The bun was also super soft.
