As much as i enjoy the concept and food at this place, keep getting bad service. Our first time about 3 years ago, we kept getting wrong orders the whole night - but not like 1 dish, but literally everything arriving on our table. It turned out into a joke, and we got plentifully compensated with free drinks, so we brushed it off. Now being back in Ericeira, celebrating our âengagement holidayâ, reserving in advance our time slot for dinner - only to be asked about 1h 20min later if we could free up the table as they have âanother reservationâ (at a time slot when reservations were not possible when we asked for it) and finish our drinks âoutsideâ (which we thought meant outside on the terrace). We got an individual spot with 2 chairs on the streetâŠ. Whilst there were 3 empty tables on the terrace⊠why the other people with reservation or us were not moved to a terrace table - i do not know, as ever since moving outside no one approached us⊠I never saw the dessert menu, totally missed out on the extra drinks we were planning on enjoying and the coffee to finish off the night - which we had to seek elsewhere⊠i felt like the waiters felt so embarrassed about the whole situation no one had the decency to stay while we were making the electronic payment, and no one approached us even afterwards to check if we payed (if iâd be them, iâd feel the same). We got 2 drinks for free, but honestly, couldnât care less about it as that changed nothing for us⊠will definitely stop recommending this place to my friends⊠maybe other people have better luck there, but seeing latest reviews...
   Read moreAVOID THIS PLACE! Absolutely AWFUL! I canât understand what all these 5 star reviews are about!? First of all they dumped a load of stuff on the table we didnât even order including some inedible olives. You would usually assume if olives are on the table without you ordering them, they would be complimentary, so we had one or two, decided they were not ripe, and saw on the menu that they were charging for them! So we told the waiter we didnât ask for them and thought they were not ripe. He then looked at us with disgust and said âeveryone else eats them!â He then told the âheadâ waiter who came over and was even more rude to us, saying they are ânaturalâ and âthey are not olives out of a jar like you are used to... maybe itâs just not your taste!â
We had ordered the muscles and when they arrived they were also inedible! So so tough and chewy! I couldnât get through one of them let alone the plate! We left them, including the half chewed one that I thought best to not swallow. When I told him it was no good, he just said OK and took the plates. It was no surprise to see they had not taken them off the bill! On top of that I had to explain that the pork was meant to come with a salad, a third waiter said no it doesnât, thatâs when I had to point at the word âsaladâ in the menu. Only then did he begrudgingly bring me a salad.
All in all I would say the worst experience Iâve had to pay for in my life. Hence why I felt the need to write my first ever review! đ

Found this tapas venue on Google Maps, which was rated above 4 stars.
The venues decor is a modern mix of spanish seaside vibes with lots of timber.
Service was friendly, however, it took us a few minutes to realise no one was coming to give you menus to the table and you have to read from the big menus around the tables, which we thought was very awkward, as it looks like you're staring at other people dining on the other side of the menu board.
The Sangria was different and tasted nice, sparkling and sweet, but lacked the alcoholic punch.
The tapas overall were nice, with our favourites being the salted chips and the chicken with the amazing sauce, which we couldn't figure out the ingredients.
As a lover of octopus, the octopus salad was cooked nicely but unfortunately lacked any flavour. Perhaps punchy acidity flavours of vinegar, lime, and herbs or a sweeter caramelised onion flavour.
Overall, we enjoyed our quick last lunch in Portugal before returning...
