The food is very tasty and the portions are huge, which is value for money. Enjoyed the desserts as well. The service on the 1st day was great. We were served by 2 lovely ladies unfortunately did not get their names. They would come regularly to check if we were okay or needed a refill on the drinks with a smile all the time. They were happy to explain what the dishes consisted of. Day2 service was the male waiters. We sat outside as it was hot inside, but unfortunately it became very windy and asked if we could go inside and they said it was ok. Well one of the gents said it was fine, but one of the waiter didn't seem too pleased about it. He brought in the dirty dishes from outside and placed them on the table and looked so annoyed to be serving us. We ordered a dish which was going to take 45mins to prepare and 2 other meals for the kids which i believe would not take same time to prepare as our dish. But to my surprise it took more than 1hour 20mins to be precise for the meal to come after i had gone to the front to complain that they could have at least served the kids and regularly check if we needed drinks. But we had to go to the front to ask for more drinks which i found very unprofessional. They wanted to defend themselves but the lady and one of the young waiters apologised for the delay and poor service. Overall i would recommend it to anyone who is a foodie and likes to try Portugal cuisines. But the service needs a bit more of an improvement.

Excellent location with choice of inside or outside in a wonderful tranquil setting. The staff are very courteous and happy to speak in good English. I heard a member of staff also speaking in German to a family so the multilingual staff are very professional. Now the food, it was excellent. Certainly the best we have had so far. Generous portions and lots of flavour. Lamb stew on Sunday is a recommended dish, bit be aware if you leave it too late the best seats will be gone as this is obviously a popular choice for locals too. Iberian pork fillet was simply amazing. The Portuguese style steak was so soft and flavoursome. Highly commended restaurant.

Still dreaming about the delicious food in this unassuming hill top restaurant. It was wonderful! The view over the valley was great. The food was so fantastic. The staff friendly and cheerful. We had the fish cataplana, Iberian black pork and spaghetti bolognese. Ending the meal with two scrumptious desserts of crème caramel and a pavlova (large enough to feed the whole family!) Best meal we ate while in the Monchique area. Thank you.

Be careful. If you do not like the food then you are the spawn of satin and you will be treated as such. I had 2 VERY small bites of my Assadura and it tasted like a garlic farm. It was extremely overpowering and I just could not deal with it. I simply said to the waiter that it is too strong for me I'm afraid. He offered me something else and I declined as the menu is limited and nothing else appealed to me. The woman that came over was aggressive and very rude insisting that the menu stated it had garlic. I said I understand, but it was just too strong for me. She said it a further 3 times. I feel like this was completely unnecessary as I was not wanting anything else. We were not attended too like the previous couple that was sat near us and left and I feel like this was very unjust. I paid the bill, including the meal that I did not have and again tried to explain to the lady that I was expecting some garlic but not a whole farm's worth. And she told be that this was not bad service so that's it. Terrible attitude and she is clearly not a asset to the business. I had not asked to remove anything dlfrom the bill or dispute anything. Her attitude was completely undermining and horrible. My partner was happy with his Portuguese...

What a place with a view, amazing. We have been there twice now. First time we had PiriPiri chicken. It was good. This week there were five of us we all had the dish of the day, three had the pork and Mushroom stew, Two had the beef cutlet. I was expecting a smallish steak..............Wrong. What arrived was a massive steak from the Forerib, plus fry's and salad all for 10€! The staff are great and responsive. The view as I said above is truly amazing, we were debating where the buildings were that were visible in the far distance, looking at Google maps it must be Alvor with the sea beyond. They have two outside terraces, one open and one with a roof. There is also plenty of room...
