I got the salmon salad and to my surprise, the salmon was sushimi pieces (not cooked). That really needs to be written on the menu, as I was expecting a fillet of grilled salmon over the top of the salad, and was disappointed.

The salmon was very fresh and I didn't get sick though, so that's worth noting. But if I knew it was going to be raw, I would have chosen something else.

The location (right on the sand), atmosphere and mocktails were fantastic though! They have English menus too 👍

This is a great dog friendly cafe. They give you a little card that states rules which is mostly to keep them under control and don't give them food/drink (I found this a bit odd but I'm guessing they mean don't put your plate down for them to lick, or have your dog make a mess on the floor etc).

At cafes, I normally take a little bed for my dog and give him a dental chew stick to entertain him, so I did that. It didn't cause any issues with staff, as he was quiet and stayed on his bed.

So they're not quite at the level of bringing a dish of water and a little treat for your dog, but its still a great spot right on the sand to bring your dog for a...

Off season in November so it was very quiet when we arrived but was soon full to near capacity and the service remained excellent. We are not great fish eaters so our choice was Pork steak which came with a nice dressed salad and a fried egg and French fries and everything tasted great...excellent. The view of the beach and lighthouse is superb and on a stormy day there are huge crashing waves just some 30m in front of you. The local lager beer was €4 / 50cl which for a spot like this is the going rate and not extortionate. The waiters were all friendly and had to keep on their toes to track everyone as customers moved from table to table as the wind and weather changed continuously. The menu is digital and even though there was no option for a Baileys coffee on the menu the barman sorted us out by selling us 2 x coffees and yes 2 x Baileys = 2 DIY Baileys coffee...very generous with the Baileys too!!! It was a good experience and credit to the staff for coping so well on a stormy windy rainy and at times very sunny day. Would definately visit again however we were only in Nazare...

Firstly the location is great and with plenty of seating it was perfect for our family.

But that's about it for positives for our lunchtime visit, firstly our drinks order missed X2 drinks. Which we highlighted to the waiter who brought them to us. We told him we were missing drinks which he acknowledged, and said he would be right back but then never came!! Finally after asking again we got them.

Then when our food arrived, again we were missing X2 items. Again having to call over a waiter we finally got X1 of the missing order but still missing the other one. Which we never got even though we asked a further X2 times before giving up and having it removed from the bill.

You shouldn't have to ask X3 times and still never get your food.

When we decided to give up, they quickly bought a steak sandwich(small)! As if that was to make up for whatever happened between the staff and kitchen staff! It didn't, it was poor and cold!

The other food seemed ok.

It was a really poor lunch service and unfortunately I can't...

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Beautiful location, but service could improve Yesterday, my husband and I stopped by A Derive Beach n Bar for a beer and a quick appetizer while enjoying Nazaré. The location is perfect, offering beautiful views of the beach and a great spot to relax. However, the service we received could have been better compared to other places we've visited in Portugal. Perhaps it was just our waitress, as we noticed other staff being much friendlier with their customers. We ordered a couple of beers and a "Bacalhau à Brás" croquette (a traditional codfish dish), which was tasty. Overall, a nice place to stop by for the view, but the service could have been more welcoming.

The staff here are shocking, totally disinterested, and often ignore you over chatting with their colleagues. The menu options were good. We ordered the steak (medium-rare), linguini, breaded chicken, and fusilli. The steak was overcooked, breaded chicken was not fresh, the fusilli was hugely spiced and inedible, thank heavens the linguini was safe for human consumption. The meals arrived at random times, with 15 minutes between the first and last arriving. It's a constant effort to order drinks or coffee as the staff couldn't be less observant / attentive.
