I would not recommend staying at this hotel. I stayed here for 1 night with my husband during our honeymoon back in April. When we pulled the sheets back to finally go to sleep, there were blood stains on them. It was very late at night so there was only the overnight man at the front desk. After he came to our room, he saw for himself the issue and then at that point he finally agreed to switch our room. Due to this, we did not get a good night of sleep and this night of our honeymoon was very unenjoyable. We also felt gross as we were resting on top of the bed/had our belongings on the bed not knowing the blood stained sheets underneath the comforter. I spoke with the people at the front desk the next morning, letting them know we were incredibly disappointed and could they please do something to help us as it was a special occasion. I did not even ask for a full refund but I requested some type of partial refund given the situation with the blood stained sheets and then having to move to another room in the middle of the night. My travel agent followed up with the hotel on my behalf and they seemed not willing to work with her for some type of compensation. Eventually, the hotel staff completely stopped replying to her and nothing was ever done. This was disappointing as upon check out I was assured that they would speak to the manager to find...
Read moreHotel Praia Nazare offers a contemporary retreat just a 10-minute stroll from the shoreline. My room was spacious, allowing ample movement and comfort, especially with the cosy double bed that awaited me. Although I had a room to myself, the generous dimensions of the double room did not go unappreciated.||The balcony boasted enough room to unwind and take in the views, but the breezy conditions during my visit meant I spent more time indoors. From my second floor balcony, I enjoyed the urban tableau presented by the nearby road.||The hotel's restaurant is roomy, easily seating 60 to 75 guests, making it an ideal spot for breakfast. And what a breakfast it was! The spread was impressive, featuring a variety of cereals, fresh fruits, an assortment of meats, a selection of breads, and delightful bakery treats including croissants and the iconic Pastel de Nata.||The staff's courteous and helpful nature shone through, particularly when I encountered some initial hiccups with the wifi connection. The reception team was quick to assist, ensuring my stay was as seamless as possible.||In summary, Hotel Praia Nazare is a commendable choice for anyone looking for modern comforts a stone's throw...
Read moreIf you're looking for a hotel in the very busy Nazare Beach location then this is it. It's two minutes to the beach and five minutes to the water.
Parking is quite the adventure. It's included as part of the stay. It's certainly intended for smaller vehicles of yesteryear. You enter from the street and you need to go to the front desk for them to give you a ticket and allow you in. In the meantime you are blocking the sidewalk, or worse other cars trying to drive down the street.
The rooms are adequate and breakfast is included. The decor is simple and tad dated.
We found the staff not very helpful. For example there was a damaged corkscrew and when we brought it to the front desk for a replacement, his response was "what do you want me to do with it?".
The breakfast experience was interesting. There's a supervisor patrolling the floor and constantly correcting all guests on the proper use of the coffee machines, where to get food, etc. Not exactly friendly, while the other staff seemed much nicer. Quite odd and that intensity seemed...
