O Luís — Restaurant in Nazaré

I thought this would be a good restaurant...

But, by the time the recommended grilled squids arrived (and I didn't notice immediately as I was still chatting and eating shrimps), things started going wrong. There were 3 whole squid pieces, and the other 2 (we can see in pics that the dish brings 5 pieces) were just the little legs of them.... I have no idea what they did with them, but I never seen this in my life :( And the reply from the staff, for this, was that I should have called them immediately, as this had been my fault... Honestly, if you go eat in a place where you are supposed to be checking everything, what happens with trust in service. I give 2 stars still, as for the salmon and shrimps were not bad. But I am not...

Not a good experience for us at all. Service was super grumpy start to finish. We were really looking forward to a good fish rice stew pot and somehow ended up with shrimp only. Just all shrimp in a not particularly flavorful broth and unimpressive rice. I love hole in the walls bland authentic experiences as much as anything if the food makes up for it but if the food is bad you notice even more that the place is drab and there is no view to help distract you from your plate. Começo por dizer que não gosto muito da Nazaré, no entanto, ontem estive neste restaurante, que conheço há mais de 20 anos, num almoço de família. E começou mal. Um funcionário, ainda sem estarmos sentados, já colocava uma travessa com percebes e camarão o que não é muito normal mas queres apreciei pela iniciativa. Mas, 30 minutos após isso ter acontecido, já quase não havia nem percebes nem camarão e nós sem beber uma única gota de qualquer bebida, apesar de ter sido pedida logo no início. O colaborador, com cara de quem nos faz um favor ao nos servir, parece que ainda ficou mais aborrecido qd o questionei sobre a bebida. Resolvi ir ao balcão e ainda bem que o fiz. Um senhor de cidadania ao que me pareceu, de leste e provavelmente Ucraniano, pela bandeira que estava numa das paredes, resolveu tomar as rédeas do assunto. E ainda bem que o fez. A partir dali, o que aparentava ser um almoço de pesadelo, transformou-se num ótimo almoço com um ambiente agradável sempre que aquele senhor abordava a nossa mesa. O outro colaborador, não mais visitou a nossa mesa e ainda bem. Aqui fica o meu agradecimento ao senhor de quem não sei o nome. Provou-se que a competência é fundamental em tudo e este senhor é a prova. Quando se diz que tem colaboradores que fazem uma casa, este senhor é um deles. Mais uma vez o meu muito obrigado.
