We stopped here for lunch today. As a lifelong vegetarian, I was excited to find a fully vegetarian menu. We ordered one main, 2 starters, 2 glasses of wine and one soft drink.
The price was comparatively high relative to other local cafes. But that was not the main problem. The main problem was the bad food and the unwillingness of the staff to rectify the problem, despite the fact that I gave them the opportunity to do so in person.
The main meal was a filled pita. The pita was so hard that it was inedible. It also came with sides that were different to what we requested, despite the staff saying they would bring the sides requested. When the waitress brought it out I did point this out, she said that didn't have what I ordered, despite saying that they did 10 minutes earlier.
We also ordered hummus. This came with 2 quarters of the equally inedible pita. This seemed like an unreasonably small amount of pita to come with hummus.
I took the waitress aside and pointed out the terrible pita to the staff and the fact that it was inedible, as well as the fact that the sides were not what we requested. The waitress failed to do anything about our bad meal and charged us the full amount. It feels like another tourist trap that will charge what they want because they know they do not have to rely on repeat business.
I would love to recommend a fully vegetarian restaurant, but in this case the only recommendation I can give is to...

Read moreI have just had lunch for the second time in this fabulous restaurant. The owner is so friendly and accommodating. Each time, as a solo diner, I was shown to a table for four on the terrace, with a fabulous view of the sea. There are so many interesting and exciting dishes to choose from. The other day I tried the Shakshuka, which was delicious, and comes with house dips and bread. The portions are generous, and considering the prime position of this restaurant , reasonably priced. Today I tried the deep fried cauliflower with aioli (delicious) and the root salad with mango (so fresh, crunchy and sweet). Both times I finished with the house dessert, warm baklava with ice cream. Just the right amount and delicious too. I am not vegetarian, but sometimes it is nice to have a change from the traditional Portuguese restaurants, and also know that I have just eaten really...
