Focus Sushi & Steak — Restaurant in Oeiras

I chose this restaurant specifically because of its high rating — 4.7 stars from 1.1k reviews is impressive. I was very surprised, however, when I entered the bathroom and found it to be quite smelly. When I returned to the table, the food had already been served. The soy sauce wasn’t of the best quality — it was watery. The tuna sashimi wasn’t fresh (although the salmon was delicious). As for drinks, I ordered a bottled beer, which was served warm. When I asked why, the waiter explained that the fridge wasn’t working properly.

The sushi itself was very good, but I would suggest that the owners consider charging a bit more for the tuna sashimi and ensuring it’s fresh. Also, the bathroom should be cleaned...

I can’t rate the food because I didn’t eat AT ALL. My partner and I went to celebrate Valentine’s Day and after a little over 1 hour of WAITING my food never came so we got up and left. FYI: my food wasn’t even ready. That’s not even to mention the fact that they gave my husband another table’s food, and we only found that out after he started eating it. I can only imagine how long my partner would’ve had to wait for his food had he not eaten the other table’s order. Worst. Restaurant. Experience. Ever. 1 Star isn’t even low enough. Este restaurante é um pouco fora do normal para o que estou habituado por ter carnes grelhadas mas também variadas opções de sushi e sopa de miso, entre outras. No entanto, conseguem de uma forma interessante conciliar os dois tipos de cozinha e confeccionar bem ambas. Começámos com bolo do caco com alho e sopa de miso. O bolo do caco foi o melhor que já comi em Portugal continental portanto não há muito a acrescentar e a sopa de miso também tinha bastante sabor. Relativamente aos pratos principais pedimos a picanha maturada com bacon e queijo e um temaki de salmão (Sakana). O temaki não provei mas penso que estava bom. A picanha foi grelhada ainda com a gordura à volta tipo entremeada e posso dizer que deu um sabor espetacular à carne. No geral um prato bastante bom mas ao mesmo tempo um pouco mais caro do que seria de esperar. Como sobremesa comemos o pudim da casa - um pudim diferente do que estou habituado - o sabor era bastante bom e a textura era tão cremosa e ao mesmo tempo tão firme que parecia queijo. Relativamente ao staff, também sempre muito atencioso e educado. O único senão é mesmo a localização do restaurante: literalmente dentro de um complexo de ténis, entrada não está identificada decentemente porque é a mesma que a entrada do clube mas o pin do Google Maps está no sítio correcto, o que ajudou a encontrarmos o local. No geral uma experiência muito positiva....
