I went last week while visiting some friends in Lisbon. The staff were friendly from the time we stepped into the door. Being the only American (and non-western-slavic-language-speaker) in the bunch, I thanked our server for opening my beer in Russian. She was incredibly gracious about my language faux-pas, and even replied with the traditional Russian toast for drinking "za zdorovye". She didnt even seem bothered by my host speaking broken Ukrainian or our friend trying to turn her Belarusian/Russian into Ukrainian. That made a big impression on me.

The borsch is absolutely wonderful, and the phrase on the menu: "cooked all day because we love you" is such a warm, personal touch that is the entire experience of dining here in a neat little package. It feels like you're at an old friend's house. Even when we left our server gave us a huge wave went out the door.

"PANORAMA loft & garden" is a truly atmospheric place. With pleasant interior design and friendly, attentive staff (most of whom are Ukrainians), it offers delicious cuisine and incredible coffee (that's my personal recommendation for everyone!). You can sample both Ukrainian and European dishes here at reasonable prices. Kids menu available too. The fantastic terrace overlooking the ocean and sunset makes it the perfect spot for dates or for companies gatherings. It's also kid-friendly, with a designated play area, and pet-friendly too. The place is wonderful. We ordered Okroshka, two portions of Deruny, one portion of Kyiv cutlet with buckwheat, and Medovyk and Varenyky with cherry for desserts. Everything was just soo delicious! The service was outstanding, the place itself is very cozy, we were seated on the terrace with a gorgeous view, and umbrellas cover the place from the direct sunlight. The bill for two people was 70 euros, but we were FULL. We could probably order less, but I was craving Ukrainian food, so I was ready to order the whole menu lol.
