Há do Amador — Restaurant in Olhão

The food is decent but the service was very chaotic and not very friendly. The seafood was very fresh and the fish was cooked good. I wouldn’t say it was the best or most authentic seafood I have ever had but it was more than okay. It is relatively quite pricey as it is a touristic place in a touristic area.

What was very annoying is that several servers would come up to your table and whenever you would try to order something, they would say you had to order that from their other colleague because “they didn’t take those” and just walk away with no warning or sign to the other servers. Then, when you finally managed to get their colleagues attention yourself, those same servers would come up to your table later and ask if you want something similar (but very specific) to the thing you ordered with their other colleague like they told you to! This happened multiple times! What is the point of this super confusing and weird system?! It makes people scared and uncomfortable to order things from waiting staff. You could tell they didn’t really communicate amongst themselves, were just running around uncoordinated, and they weren’t really nice or welcoming to customers.

I recently dined at Há do Amador and it was an absolute delight! From the moment I walked in, I was immediately struck by the cozy and inviting atmosphere. The decor was chic and stylish, with a nautical theme that perfectly matched the restaurant's focus on seafood.

As soon as I sat down, I knew I was in for a treat. The menu was filled with an array of mouthwatering options, all featuring the freshest and most flavorful seafood I've ever tasted. I ended up choosing the lobster tail and it was cooked to perfection - tender and juicy, with a delicate, buttery flavor.

But the food wasn't the only highlight of my visit. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience.

Overall, Há do Amador is a must-try for seafood lovers. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the service is top-notch. 🦞🐟🍤🍽️🌊🌅🌞 I can't wait to come back and try more items...

Excellent restaurant with fantastic fish and seafood dishes! We came here 3 times within a week, twice for dinner and once for a late lunch, and were never disappointed! good variety of super fresh fish & seafood Senhora Andrea (we called her „Speedy Gonzales“) and her family & team were were very nice make sure to reserve a table in advance (we were living close by so we dropped by the night before or early evening to reserve)

Main: Monkfish & prawns kebab Monkfish & seafood cataplana

Desert a bit on the sweet side (I personally loved the Flan) and a fresh carafe of vino verde house wine
