Really lovely good and the staff are great. Sat outside which is situated in a really nice awning and nice to people watch and see the marina, the restaurant is just up a street opposite the marina road which was romantic. A taxi was able to drop us right outside as I have severe mobility issues. Which was extremely convenient and it's good for other persons with disabilities to know too. We mainly had fish and other sea foods. Extremely fresh and the flavours are superb. The pork strips was the nicest pork dish my husband has ever had. I'm not a fan of pork, but even I thought it was delicious. The fire drink part was really cool and it's got a lovely atmosphere. Drinks are very cheap and food was inexpensive, considering we had lots of different fresh seafood, including a huge fish platter and then calamari, a separate squid dish and garlic clams, two meat dishes, one potato dish, a vegetarian dish and two really nice deserts and drinks including a coffee at the end, which my husband had. Each dish had it's own originality and although we are loads, because it was so fresh and not fatty, we were definitely full, the portions were good sizes but it wasn't too heavy on the stomach, because it was cooked to perfection and not just covered in oil and grease. Plus it was nice that we were not made to eat really quickly or rushed. It was the opposite, each dish came out as soon as that particular dish was cooked. So we were able to appreciate each dish really well and not have luke warm food. We had a free drink from the fire and a free lemoncelo after food, which was really nice of them. It came to about £50 between us. For the amount and quality of the food and all the drinks, in Wales we would not have had that quality of the fish or meat unless we went to a very high end fish or meat restaurant and it would have cost at least twice the amount, we paid here and that's me being extremely conservative. It was really friendly, we were there two hours and encouraged to stay and relax. Children were more than welcomed there, a lot of families were eating there and a lot of locals, which shows the quality and service of the restaurant. It's a great place for couples, families, people eating on their own. You can just have a light bite or a drink as a table were there just drinking and relaxing outside. Or you can have a huge array of dishes. The advise regards the dishes was extremely...
Read moreWe were spending the last evening of our guests in Olhao. Everything, which can go wrong went wrong! We were 4 people in Tapas e Lendas and were the first customers in terace! The first surprise was when the waiter told us what they don't have, quite a long list, not even fish soup. So we ordered 6 tapas plates since we thought tapas is something very tasty and quick! Prices were quite high, we thought we can share tapas plates Wrong assumption! The first plate olives came in 15 minutes, next came tataki, 10 minutes after olives, there was no taste, no salt and very dry. It was very small and expensive. Then came the plate, which we hadn't ordered, ham. The third and forth plates ( mussels ) came in 40 minutes. Two mussels out of seven were empty! We complained about that and it was promised to be credited! The fifth plate came in 45 minutes, atum bruchetta, not good because it was wet and lousy. And the sixth tapas, crisp chicken came in 55 minutes after several reminders! It was dry, without taste or sauce We didnt stay there longer. The bill came with no discount on empty mussel shells! So we went to Aldi for making barbaque at home. In brief: the restaurant's performance was a total disaster! This restaurant logan could be "one eats and three are watching" Our guests were terified after this restaurant visit.
Update and addition because the restaurant's response is strange. We were in this restaurant about 2 years ago and everything was fine. A lovely singing waiter also. We visited again at the beginning of this summer and then they also brought the menu and told us what was not available. We thought we had bad luck. But the same thing continued now and there wasn't even a main course on available, which is why our guests wanted to come to your restaurant. "One lady coming after one week" is completely irrelevant! We were 4 people and got lousy service and over priced low quality food. If you dont't take seriously your clients' feed-back you will...
Read moreWe should have seen the red flags as soon as we walked in. The worst dining experience we have had in the Algarve - for the following reasons: Greasy menus Stale bread Tuna tartar was just fish-flavoured mayonnaise Pushy wait-staff who are inexperienced at best, rude at worst TINY portions - I know what a tapa is. I understand the price point, but there is no value to be had here Sangria which tasted like it was out of a carton served with frozen instead of fresh fruit Fridge next to us full of seafood which looked dirty and was varying in temperature from 7 to 8 degrees Celsius Dirty and decaying tables The prawn flambé tasted like soap/detergent for some reason Flies everywhere Rude wait staff who lost all interest when they realised we were cutting our losses and leaving. I am not sure how the restaurant has received any 5-star reviews but this can possibly be explained by poor standards and only enticed me to post my own experience. The poor reviews are true. To the “owner” - do not waste your energy replying defensively on here or belittling your customers. To any future customers - simply do not waste your resources here, the whole place put me on edge. I have no problem to pay when I experience fair value, this is not the case here. Luckily, it’s not a reflection of the rest of the service industry here in...
