Taberna Ibérica — Restaurant in Olhão

Fun dinner at newly reopened Taberna Ibérica restaurant Marina Village in Olhão. Okay, okay - I’m a sucker for supporting new business owners as they launch their dreams. It’s scary and everyone deserves a chance. The new owners are a young Ukrainian couple and chef is from Brazil. They specialize in smoke meats. Food was well done, nicely presented and chef was accommodating to changes. I suspect service will improve with experience. Pricing was medium-high with smoked beef reaching 25€. Try the black burger - delicious (13€). A few first day wobbles led to lots of laughter and memories. Stiff competition from nearby restaurants at the fairly new Olhão Marina with waterfront views. Wanted to visit in Tuesday but it wasn't open, but managed to visit on Thursday. Atmosphere was quiet but it was early, it got busier as we were leaving.

Owners are very passionate and informative about the selection of food and what wine to pair with it which is lovely.
