The high ceiling and glass frontage makes this place feel bright and airy. Worth a visit for the architecture alone. Reasonably priced, generous portions, and excellent service. Good for casual dining, or even just a coffee at any time of the day. Pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago walk right past the door. The fixed menu option - Bread, Soup, Dish of the Day, water or glass of wine, and coffee - for 9€ at the time of writing, is definitely worth considering. My personal favourite haunt in Povoa de Varzim.

We ordered Francesinha Vegetariana with French fries and lager. Everything was tasty the place is comfortable, with nice views. Francesinha has a crusty layer of something, cheese and (I guess) seitan and fried egg. Delicious. Staff is friendly. I walk nearby regularly and see that the restaurant is ultra popular. Big lines outside in the evenings. So we went in the midday. Most bad reviews here are related to overcrowdy busy time.

Com um horário alargado entre as 9:00 e a 1:00 da madrugada, tem uma grande panóplia de opções para os diferentes horários, desde um pequeno almoço, almoço, lanche, jantar ou ceia, onde a confeção e qualidade estão sempre presentes. Naturalmente o ex-líbris da Casa são as Magníficas Francesinhas à Poveira, de boa confeção, qualidade dos ingredientes e excelente sabor do molho (totalmente diferente do sabor das Francesinhas da Invicta). Grande variedade de Snacks e pratos típicos da cozinha tradicional portuguesa. Boa relação preço/qualidade e serviço. Bom atendimento, grande disponibilidade e muita Simpatia por parte de todo o Staff, apesar da sua juventude, a quem desejo os maiores Sucessos. Recomendo vivament👌

Best Francesinha in Póvoa de Varzim.

However they do not serve Francesinha only! You should try the other dishes. Do not expect anything fancy, for the price it's excellent, and the portions are just perfect.

Try to avoid going at the typical lunch times, specially if it's on a weekend or you will have to wait to get a seat.

It's always crowded, so what I recommend is you are having lunch, is showing up a bit before 12 PM if possible. Or else get ready to wait on queue.
