Tasca da Maria Food & Wine — Restaurant in Póvoa de Varzim

Tasca Da Maria, is officially my favourite restaurant in Povoa De Varzim. The presentation of the food was impeccable and creative. Our meals were delicious and tasted fresh, made from quality local ingredients. Moreover, I was pleasantly surprised to find that all their desserts were homemade, as most restaurants in the area mainly offer the Ola Carte D’Or branded packaged frozen desserts. My daughters had the Kinder white chocolate mousse, while my wife and I had the cheesecake - we loved every spoonful. The service and friendly staff exceeded our expectations, making us feel comfortable and right at home.

Undoubtedly with it's modern-rustic style and decor, along with being located by the beautiful Cego do Maio plaza, makes Tasca Da Maria a notable space to eat, meet and socialise. They are truly setting the standards in Povoa cuisine with a modern interpretation of traditional, flavourful Portuguese dishes. I will keep visiting again as...

Já tinha visitado este restaurante o ano passado, hoje voltei porque tinha sido bem atendida e a comida era ótima. Qual foi o meu espanto quando me disseram que não tinham mesa para 3 pessoas nem iam ter😤😤😤. E eu pensei.....iriam os clientes ficar até ao fecho do restaurante????? De certeza que não😡😡 Já tinha saído do interior do restaurante quando me apercebi que um dos empregados de mesa veio ao meio da praça dizer a uns clientes estrangeiros que o acompanhassem pois tinha mesa para eles. Estes clientes tinham saído do restaurante antes de nós ao ver que não havia mesa. Eu pergunto à gerência do restaurante, o meu dinheiro não é como o deles?????? É com os turistas estrangeiros que eles fazem a casa?????? São eles que frequentam o restaurante durante todo o ano???????? Uma VERGONHA. Era cliente mas hoje deixei de ser e a todos os que pedirem referências eu direi que é um restaurante só para emigrantes que nós portugueses não somos bem vindos. E todas as críticas que eu puder colocar nos sites de referência sobre restaurantes serão das piores possíveis. Ah... a empregada de mesa que me atendeu...
