O Cedro — Restaurant in Penafiel

Restaurant Cedro in Penafiel is a delightful spot for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Portuguese cuisine. Located near the centre within a street that gave the name to the restaurant (rua do Cedro), this restaurant offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home.

The menu had a variety of traditional dishes, such as soup (canja and sopa à lavrador), meat (vitela, anho, etc) but also fish (cod, seafood rice) dishes, the potatoes baked on the oven were delicious , and the house wine was excellent, complementing the meals perfectly.

The service is super efficient and nice with the waiter offering lolly pops for the youngest and a strong homemade liquor to go with the coffee...

Extremely good meat. A lot & very tastefull. We were with a party of 9 and everybody enjoined dinner. They also have their own wine (sweet).

Comida razoável, local barulhento e confuso. A senhora que nos atendeu foi muito simpática mas as restantes pessoas são rudes. Pedi um copo limpo, apontaram para o balcão, que estava cheio de louça suja, e disseram para pegar num copo. Olhei, fiquei pasmada e ouvi "Valha-me Santa Luzia que não vê nada, os copos estão ali" Depois de muito olhar lá vislumbrei meia dúzia de copos limpos no meio da louça suja.
