It was a Saturday evening and I was wandering around the old town of Portalegre. I was travelling on my own so I was looking for a place where I could feel comfortable. The staff was welcoming and always ready to give recommendations about the food I should try or the wine. I personally had the fried sausage as a starter and the pork fillet with migas as the main course. It was amazing. Trust me, one of the best meals I had in Portugal during my stay. I already tried the migas before coming to Palatus, I didn’t enjoy the texture of this dish so I wasn’t sure about trying it again, but glad I did! The wine selection by glass is very small, but the one I tried (AC Reserva) was the best suited for the dishes I had. Palatus muito obrigada pela experiência e espero comer aqui novamente...

Today we had a fantastic diner. I ordered bacalhau and it never ever tasted as good as in this restaurant. The cook told us that the menu consists of only recepties highly appreciated by his guests. If you visit Portalegre you really have to try...

Buscábamos un sitio para comeren nuestro camino de vuelta a casa. En Internet nos decían que había muchos cerrados, vimos un lugar en el q nos dijeron que iban a cerrar y nos mandaron a otro lugar y, en ese camino, dimos con este restaurante. Los camareros y los dueños nos dejaron pasar a pesar de estar próximos a la hora del cierre. Nos atendieron muy amablemente. Por no entretenerles mucho elegimos una tabla de embutidos y una de presa para compartir. Estaba todo muy rico y la pluma muy tierna. La atención fue de 10. El restaurante es pequeñito pero muy acogedor. Un lugar limpio y cuidado. Sin duda alguna, 100% recomendable en todos...
