Very pleasant experience overall.

Service was fast, and the waiter snappy on his feet. Even ordering extras mid meal did not take long, despite being busier later.

All meat was tasty and juicy and not overcooked, from the the deer steak, pork cheek to lamb chops.

No canned or bottled drinks are served here, only locally produced drinks or wines. Non alcoholic beverages include a tasty lemonade, red fruit juices and a variety of cold teas.

For desert we had local type of Apple Strudel served with walnut icream, which was a bit dry and tasteless, could maybe use a little more sugar, other egg based traditional...

This a great surprise in the middle of Portalegre. Probably one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been. The food is simply amazing and the wines are simply the best. But what surprised me the most was the staff. They were quite amazing and very informative. They made strong suggestions about the dishes and the appropriate wines. Thank you so much for the experience. I want to repeat it more times. The only minor downside of this restaurant is the lack of Wi-Fi… but who cares? We came to the place with a reservation with a small sleeping puppy. The waiter saw perfectly that we were with a puppy and did not say a single word. We were taken calmly to the table and then the old waiter came and when my boyfriend asked for some water started to speak rudely that we need to leave immediately and the pets are not allowed. Even if it is the rule of the place I find unacceptable the way that they treated us in a very discriminatory manner. Very shameful service. My friends and I will never be back here even...
