You don't need to go to any other restaurants in Alvor except La Gioconda! During our week long stay we tried a couple of other places (which were nice) but we kept returning here not just because of the amazing food (and it was amazing) but the service and staff were fantastic. And, the service and quality was consistent -every time we visited was as good as the previous. There is so much to choose from on the menu, pizzas, pastas, risotto and more, with beautiful desserts and a wide range of starters. Dine inside, upstairs with street views over the balcony or on the terrace and watch the evening go by. (And they have the longest happy hour in Alvor- 12-6pm!) 110%. Perfect evening dining every time. And these two guys ⬇️⬇️ are brilliant.

It is a very spacious restaurant and the servers are nice and friendly. The starters were all very nice and tasty. The main courses however, were sometimes missing ingrediënts (for example cheese on a burger and salad dressing on a salad) and a bit dry and flavourless. The desserts were better, but also, nothing special. Towards the end when more People were coming in the restaurant it took a while to get desserts and some were missing unfortunately. Overall, an ok experience but not great.

My family has eaten here on numerous occasions over the years. Unfortunately this time my main meal was cold, the rest of the food was hot and tasty but my hand and cheese wrapped in a steak and chips was cold, I was starving so I ate it, but it was only when I had finished the meal we were asked how it was, a free drink was offered after my feedback but I declined as I had eaten it. It was very busy and it has not put me off eating here again in the future.

We ate here recently as a group of 4 adults plus 1 small child. We didn’t have a reservation but we were immediately accommodated and given plenty of seating options and took the indoor ground floor table. The restaurant has a friendly relaxed ambience and excellent service provided by wonderful staff. We tried around 9x different dishes between us, each and every dish was absolutely amazing! Full of flavours, fresh ingredients and generous portion sizes providing very good value for money. The menu has a wide variety of food options available, catering for many different preferences and is also very reasonably priced. RAW SHELLFISH IN PASTA!!!

We recently tried this new establishment after Atrium 53 changed its Branding.

First of all, We didn’t receive the correct starters we ordered. The bruschetta was bizarre, non toasted bread and the dips were odd.

We ordered the la mare, spaghtetti nero & the lasagna. Both Pasta dishes were swimming in grease and oil and we found a UNCOOKED RAW prawn in the La mare dish. Luckily i didn’t eat it but if i had, i would have been very ill.

The only apology we got was from the poor waitress. No apology from the manager or chef. Very unimpressed and so disappointed after many times coming to the old Atrium.
