McDonald's — Restaurant in Portimão

It's McDonnald's so I didn't have much expectations. No cashier or customer seemed to be at the cash counter so we decided to use those self service kiosks. Using kiosk was easy until the coupon we tried to redeem from app just said it was already redeemed. After that we waited in the cashiers for 7min being the only ones in the line. Cashier was fast and we got the situation sorted out and started 10min wait for the order to be ready. Displays showing which order is being prepared and which is ready suddenly just displayed that every order was ready and after that tilted. This caused huge crowd at the pick-up counter and certainly lot's of disease spreading. I don't know if it's every day like this or was it because of Sunday. For sure I'm not trying that McDonnald's again. I even uninstalled the app.

Absolutely terrible experience at this McDonald’s. I placed a simple meal order at the counter because I wanted to sit outside — no table service, just pick-up. What followed was 25 minutes of complete nonsense.

I stood in front of the pickup desk watching the staff laugh, joke, and chat while doing nothing productive. I could clearly see my burger (the only veggie one) sitting on a tray, untouched. It stayed there for 10 more minutes while I kept asking what was going on — they kept saying it’s still being prepared.

Finally, after I pushed harder, they casually told me now that their cola machine isn’t working. Why wasn’t I informed earlier? I could’ve taken another drink and been done with it. Instead, I got my food cold and my patience tested.

This Mcdonalds was very poor, my fries were cold, I was over charged I felt a little exploited as a tourist. I felt the staff didn't care really. I asked for new fries which came eventually the wait time for food was considerably long when comparing to the uk. The place was fairly quiet so not sure why we had a long wait. I asked why a certain dip was not offered when ordering as there was an extra charge after the inflated price to start with. When the manager came over he patronisingly patted me on the shoulder like we were best friends I never felt like he dealt with the issue and just brushed me off!
