Tasty Cuisine — Restaurant in Portimão

We (my wife and myself) decided to go out and sample the Indian food in Alvor and we chose to go "Tasty Cuisine" in Alvor. When we arrived there it was very quiet and it looked like some building work was going on. We asked the person greeting us if they were open for business and he replied with a resounding "Yes". He explained that they were in the process of upgrading and expanding the restaurant. Well, we were the only customers there and obviously a bit nervous, but this was to be expected in some way, because February is a quiet time in the Algarve. But we were pleasantly surprised, the service was excellent and the food even better. We couldn't have wished for more. Whatever they call Onion Baji is a flat piece of soggy cardboard that has been mushed and pressed in a flat tasteless brown object.

Asked for some lemon. Was given 1 slice on a plate for two people. Pathetic.

Popodoms were average and certainly not fresh.

As for the dips!! I have seen bigger thimbles. It was a joke not even enough for 1 poppadom. Very very stingy.

Now for the Madras Curry. Absolutely awful.

Like boiled onions with a few spices thrown in. Couldn't have taken 5 minutes to make. Probably the worst I have ever had.
