We had a very good experience here. The restaurant serves modern Italian food which is imaginative and interesting. We shared an aubergine parmigiana to start which was delicious, soft roasted aubergine with crispy cheese and roasted baby tomatoes with dressed rocket on top. For main, I had osso buco pasta which had lots of soft meat and a really deep flavour. The raw mushrooms were a surprise but I enjoyed them. We also had tortellini ragout which was delicious too, not a Bolognese type sauce as you might expect but a slow cooked meat sauce with cream. Desert was a deconstructed pastel de nata, with lemon sorbet, again not what I was imagining but interesting. The house wine was €15.50 and very nice indeed. Service was very good despite it being a relatively busy Friday evening. Prices are reasonable for this quality of food, service and atmosphere. We have eaten in many Porto Santo restaurants and this is one...

We had dinner in this restaurant. We ordered 2 osso bucci and a bottle of wine. The cook was not yet in so we new that we had to wait a little bit. Then we saw the cook arriving and 10 minutes later we had the Osso Bucco on our table. The taste was ok but what we did not like at all was that there was a bone on the plate, which belongs to the osso bucco That is perfectly ok, but I missed the meat. There were about 6 cubes of meat about 1 cm side length. That is not enough to be called osso bucco. I would only call it bucco (hole) !!!!! I cook myself osso bucco, but there is a lot of meat around the bone. We will avoid this restaurant in future. We should have listen to our friends in Porto Santo. They told us before. We were disappointed...

Lovely evening at this very high quality restaurant in the centre of Vila Baleira. The menu has been revised to reflect seasonal availability and includes more local tastes. We chose piglet belly and duck risotto and both were outstanding. They came as plated meals with individual touches of originality by the chef. The food is possibly the best we have eaten on the island during our 6 week stay this year. The service is friendly and efficient and the house wine is excellent. We had an exceptional meal at a very reasonable price, highly...

The food was spectacular, but the service fell short. I ordered the Portuguese steak, which was excellent, and the house wine is definitely worth trying. Unfortunately, the service was very slow. The waiter did his best, but it was clear the restaurant was understaffed and struggling to keep up with the number of guests.
