Food was fine, but we dropped the table number marker they gave us and the corner of it chipped off, then we were informed we had to pay 18eur for it! We of course had no problems paying for the damage since it was our fault we had dropped it, but to pay 18eur for it was complete robbery. The staff informed us that is the same amount they have to pay if they break them, so clearly the owner is also robbing the staff. There is absolutely no way that a business would pay 18eur for each table marker, businesses buy these things for 2-3eur each. The owner is profiteering by charging employees and customers this exorbitant amount. In a busy café these things are very easy to get knocked off tables/fall/drop and the café should look at getting ones that are less fragile if they are going to charge for each one that gets chipped. Although clearly the owner is doing a great business in ripping people off for those breakages.
I'd suggest eating elsewhere, not that anything was wrong with the food but it also wasn't anything amazing and you can easily find the same pastries elsewhere on the street and without risk of having to pay excessive amounts for a plastic...
