We started with their house sangria, which set the perfect tone for our meal - beautifully balanced with just the right sweetness and a wonderful depth of flavor that had us all reaching for refills.
Between us, we ordered the steak and the seafood rice to share family-style. The steak was great - juicy, and seasoned with expert precision. The seafood rice was the standout dish of the night - generously packed with fresh seafood and infused with rich, authentic flavors that transported us straight to the Portuguese coast.
The service truly elevated our experience from great to exceptional. The staff were attentive without hovering, offered thoughtful recommendations, and made us feel like valued guests rather than just customers. The warm, convivial atmosphere was perfect for our group of three, allowing us to enjoy good conversation alongside outstanding food.
To cap off an already wonderful meal, they surprised us with complimentary shots of cherry liqueur served in edible chocolate cups - a delightful finishing touch that showcased their attention to detail and hospitality.
The restaurant strikes that perfect balance between elegant and comfortable, making it ideal for our adult gathering. Not too formal, not too casual - just right for a memorable evening...

On our first visit, we tried the Bacalhau À Brás, Bacalhau À Chefe, and Arroz de Marisco; each dish was so incredibly flavorful and beautifully prepared that we couldn’t help but share everything amongst ourselves. Every bite was mouthwatering, a perfect balance of tradition and creativity on the plate.
The desserts were just as exceptional. We indulged in Bolo de Bolacha, Tarte de Lima, Crème Brûlée, and the Basque Cheesecake; each one better than the last, offering the perfect sweet ending to a memorable meal.
The experience was so unforgettable that we returned again during our trip, this time bringing our cousin along so they too could enjoy what had quickly become our favorite spot in Porto. On our second visit we all indulged in Bacalhau À Brás and shared desserts; Mousse de Chocolate and Tarte de Caramelo salgado e Cafe. Which were also amazing and delicious.
Bolhão À Gosto is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates warm hospitality and extraordinary food rooted in Portuguese tradition. We’ll be dreaming about those dishes for a long...
Read moreThe worst dining experience I’ve ever had in my whole holiday. Me and my partner we were ignored when we entered into the restaurant to ask for the seat. The waitress saw us standing beside her and waiting for their arrangement to take a seat while still ignored us without any acknowledgement or greetings. Finally we seated outside and waited for more than 10min to get the menu and ordered dishes. We ordered the seafood rice and smoked salmon salad, which took them more than 40min to bring to the table. After trying the dishes, we were very disappointed about the food and it was totally a waste of time for waiting so long. The seafood rice was very salty and the seafood was absolutely overcooked. We both love seafood rice and we’ve had this dish in many other restaurants in Portugal, they are all different but delicious. The one in this restaurant was underperformed and overestimated. The smoked salmon salad was plain and we don’t understand why did it took 40min to make a salad. Wouldn’t recommend any friend go to this place and we definitely...
