Original "Bolos Lêvedos" Rosa Quental — Restaurant in Povoação

The rudest bar I’ve ever been to. The lady is rude, she was constantly complaining and mumbling even though I could speak portuguese and our food was easy to understand. I asked for a bolo lêvedo mixto (ham and cheese), the typical bread here in the island and also the food that gives the name to the bar (😅) and they brought me a bread without even heating it: I had been eating it in every bar, always toasted without even asking for it. I asked them to heat it three times because every time was still cold. In the end I ate it because I was just surprised by the treatment. It was just warm and this was the stuffed. All of this with the lady complaining, mumbling, looking weird at people (another girl asked for salt and the lady laughed at her). I would never recommend, also because it’s not so cheap considering the treatment. It’s a pity because the food could also be good, but due to the treatment it’s the worst experience...

I gotta agree with the previous two reviewers. This place was strange. They don't have most of the stuff on the menu. The woman asked what I wanted, I said a sandwich on the bolos levedos bread. The only two sandwiches she had were ham and cheese, cheese, and this really gross looking chicken. I opted for ham and cheese since that looked pretty decent from the photos, but it was literally was just one piece of ham and one piece of cheese that she put between two pieces of bread and then put in a bag for me. lol. You have been warned!!! Stay away!!!! This is the typical racist, xenophobic place in Portugal. However, even if you are a local… like myself it’s awful!!! The waitress is totally obnoxious. Things that they have… suddenly they do not. Things that you have asked either you get something different or another version you didn’t ask for. Anything you complain about it’s always your fault.
